Excerpt: "In the last couple of years I have had several encounters with pastors and lay-leaders of Friends meetings who have been overwhelmingly impressed with a particular new hymnal. My interest was further · sparked when I discovered that the committee in search of a hymnal replacement for the meeting at which I serve had adopted this same hymnal as its first choice. Last month we accepted the committee's proposal and adopted Hymns for the Family of God as the new hymnal for our small, rural Indiana meeting.

The Logos Journal was published in the 1970s to provide teaching on the baptism in the Spirit for churches and believers in the Charismatic Renewal. The journal was edited by Dan Malachuk. Logos Journal was published bimonthly by Logos International Fellowship, Inc., a nonprofit ministry dedicated to communicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world by promoting renewal and reconciliation in the body of Christ.

The purpose of this thesis is to present a scholarly English translation, with appropriate background matter and historico-theological material, of Caspar von Schwenckfeld’s Commentary on the Augsburg Confession, written sometime during or after Autumn, 1531. There is a brief biographical chapter, as well as short chapters on Schwenckfeld’s relationship with Luther and Melanchthon, and a synopsis of Schwenckfeld’s theology, with special emphasis on themes presented in this Commentary (religious liberty, concept of the Church). The text of Document 103 of the Corpus Schwenckfeldianorum (Vol. III, pp. 862-940, No. 58 in the so-called “P” Epistolar) is translated with notes and …
