A scrapbook presumably compiled by a member of the Ephpheta Sodality in Toledo, Ohio. The scrapbook contains photographs, newspaper clippings and other ephemera documenting the Catholic Deaf community, primarily of Toledo. Materials are dated between 1910 and 1930.

These materials were included in a scrapbook presumably compiled by a member of the Catholic Deaf Society of the Diocese of Paterson, Inc. in Paterson, New Jersey. They were likely intended to be added to document activities and items of interest to the Deaf and Deaf Catholic communities, particularly in the Midwest United States. The newspaper clippings are presented as photocopies of the original compilation and are dated c. 1930s.

A dictionary of sign language used in America. The volume contains 76 typewritten leaves and was prepared by a Sister of St. Joseph from the Deaf Mute Institute in St. Louis, Missouri. It is believed to have been circulated "for the use solely of the Jesuit Scholastics" circa 1900.

This early manual contains a general vocabulary and instructions for how to sign, including some distinctively Catholic terms.
