Anxiety is a common emotional reaction in musicians that can negatively influence their performance. Some studies have proved that Music Performance Anxiety (MPA) can be found not only in adults but also in adolescents and children from 3 years old. Since MPA is a significant aspect of musicians’ development, it is essential that music educators take preventive action against MPA in young musicians, specifically under 18 years old. The purpose of this study is to examine the strategies used by music educators to address MPA in young musicians. A Study Of Max Reger's Four Sonatas For Solo Violin, Op. 42, No. 1: Analyzing Musical Structure And Exploring Performance Approaches, Hayoung Cho

This dissertation examines four sonatas for solo violin op.42, no.1 by Max Reger, a composer relatively unknown in the modern era despite his significant contributions to the violin repertoire. Reger's lack of popularity as a composer for the violin and the infrequency of his solo violin sonatas' performance and recording are the main reasons for this study. The research is based on a comprehensive analysis of Reger's musical language and violin works focusing on his use of polyphonic textures, rhythmic and melodic phrasing, and ornamentation. By examining Reger's compositional techniques, this study aims to shed light on his unique approach …
