In 2022, based on Google Trends tools, Indonesia is ranked third as the country with the most searches related to Japanese anime. Wibu is a term that refers to someone who is outside Japan but likes and even tends to be obsessed with the culture of that country. This research aims explore how stereotypes of Wibu in Indonesia are constructed by digital media, specifically YouTube. A descriptive survey research approach was chosen for the investigation. The method of inquiry was chosen since the researcher employed a questionnaire to collect information from respondents. The population includes 41 undergraduates with hearing impairment at Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri, Imo State and 7 lecturers. Both Thailand and Laos are predominantly Buddhist countries, following Theravada Buddhism. This research analyzes the ideology that the author intends to instill in picture storybooks for children in Japan. The study aims to explore how the author conveys the ideology of handling trauma in children after earthquake disasters. The objects of the study are two picture storybooks titled "Yuzuchan" and "Yappari Ouchi Ga Ii Na." The research was conducted qualitatively using the documentary data search method. The analysis was carried out with van Dijk's CDA theory and Peirce's Semiotics Theory. The analysis employs a film studies approach to explore the interplay between visual and narrative strategies within the framework of Eisenstein's theoretical perspectives. Ontological distance is the dehumanization that emerges from uninterrogated coloniality between colonized subjects and the oppressive systems. This distancing has occurred in the histories of U.S. teachers both domestic-based and abroad, especially in Southeast Asia. In Steinbock-Pratt’s (2019) historiography on the relationships between early 1900s U.S. teachers and their Filipinx students, ontological distance was “The crux of the colonial relationship was intimacy marked by closeness without understanding, suasion backed by violence, and affection bounded by white and American supremacy” (Steinbock-Pratt, 2019, p. 214). An experiment in form, the novel is structured to replicate the passing of a hurricane over land. This study is aimed to examine seven selected allegories of Āryaśūra’s Jātakamālā engraved in Candi Borobudur, to analyze the multiple aspects of the six perfections (pāramitās) exemplified in them and how these perfections are applied in day-to-day life.
