En este estudio se explora el mantenimiento del gallego en las comunidades que emigraron a Latinoamérica en los siglos XIX y XX. Primero se contrastan las motivaciones de la comunidad gallega durante los periodos de emigración con el uso activo del gallego en varios centros culturales en las Américas. The paper at hand focuses on comparing the differences of the Cuban and Puerto Rican health care (HC) system and conditions. As this is a comparative research analysis, this was done by reviewing many different reliable sources and compiling the relevant information from Cuba and Puerto Rico. The factors that were taken into account are: (a) Political and Health Care Systems, (b) Natural and Artificial Disaster and (c) Country’s Demographics and Health Statistics.

Chinese Cubans: Transnational Origins And Revolutionary Integration, Kevin J. Morris

The Chinese legacy in Cuba exists in a dual state, at once both a fundamental aspect of the Cuban people and the Cuban nationality while also an oft-overlooked strand in the fabric of Cuban society and culture. While today the official number of Chinese-born Cubans in Cuba is low, the number of Chinese-descendants in Cuba may well number in the hundreds of thousands. This duality merits exploration, as it sheds light on the unique experiences of Chinese Cubans and Chinese-descendants through several eras of Cuban history.
