Drayton writes he is glad to hear that McCauley's health is improving and invites him to Washington, D.C. if he has time to visit. At the time of writing, McCauley was a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy and Drayton was head of the Bureau of Navigation and Office of Detail within the Navy; this letter is written on the bureau's stationary.

This 44 page ledger contains Dr. John H. A. Bomberger's handwritten notes about the sermons preached during his final four years as pastor of the First Reformed Church of Easton, Pennsylvania. Entries contain the date, time of day, place, Biblical text and theme for each sermon. Often, additional remarks are found about the occasion of the sermon (a Confirmation, Communion, funeral, Harvest sermon or cornerstone laying, for example), the weather, and attendance. Document granting 1099 acres of land to the trustees of William Bingham's estate: Alexander Baring, Henry Baring, Robert Gilmore, Thomas Mayne Willing, and Charles Willing Hare. Dimensions of the tract are noted in detail, as are the machinations by which this tract is granted to the grantees. On parchment, 1806. Includes seal under paper accompanied by signature of governor Thomas M. Kean. Dimensions of tract resemble modern day dimensions of Athens Borough in Bradford County, Pennsylvania.

Account Ledger, 1766-1777, Friederich Schenckel (D. 1810)

This handwritten account book is attributed to Friederich Schenckel (d.1810), a leather breeches maker working in Philadelphia. Entries, written in German script, date from approximately 1766 to 1777. The book lists quantities of materials and their prices. One of his shops may have been called the Three Gloves and Breeches, located near the Indian Queen Hotel on Market Street.

Multiple order slips and a tax notice were also found in the account ledger.
