In the basement corridor of the Main Interior Building in Washington, D.C. is the most beautiful painting I've even seen. I've gotten the chance on a couple of occasions, while visiting the Department of the Interior Headquarters for meetings and whatnot for work to wander down outside of the cafeteria to see the mural. Claim, 1830, directed to the Register of the Land Office, Batesville, Arkansas Territory, for land evidently in the Roseville area of northwest Logan County. No name is on the claim. Because of construction of canals in Ohio, land was made available in Arkansas Territory to certain persons as directed by an Act of Congress, 14 May 1828.
