This collection is composed of a scrapbook created by the Huntington, West Virginia Junior Chamber of Commerce, or Jaycees, in application for the Geissenbier Award, an award of excellence distributed for exemplary community works. The scrapbook features the work conducted by the Jaycees on behalf of the war effort during World War II in Huntington, and includes photographs, newspaper clippings, correspondence, ephemera, and some hand drawn illustrations for the various areas in which the Jaycees did work.

This collection is composed of clippings and copies of newspaper columns by Rick Baumgartner written for the Huntington Advertiser dealing with history of Huntington, West Virginia, families and local events. Many were later compiled into the booklet, "First Families of Huntington, West Virginia." The collection is composed of columns published between 1976 and 1979, the first box contains access copies of the columns while the second box contains the original clippings donated by Baumgartner.

Also included is a short manuscript titled “Making the Constitution Safe for Democracy (Marbury vs. Madison)” which begins with the midnight appointment of John Marshall to the Supreme Court. This collection is composed of one volume of county court records for Mason County, Virginia (now West Virginia) titled, “Mascon County Superior Court, Memorandum Book, Law and Chancery Commencing June 16th, 1831”. The records document the plaintiffs and defendants appearing before the county court, any rulings or penalties, and annotations accompanying the case lists as required.

Carrie Eldridge is a genealogical researcher in Chesapeake, Ohio. This collection contains photocopies of many county record books of the Appalachian areas of West Virginia, Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky, ranging from the American Revolution until the early twentieth century. It also contains her personal research files on topics related to slavery and the Underground Railroad in Ohio and West Virginia as well as local history topics such as church and family histories.
