This collection consists of two folders containing materials disparate in subject matter: one consisting of a list of many descendants of John Marshall compiled by Sam Clagg for Marshall University’s Sesqui-Centennial Committee in 1987, another of materials sent to Marshall University by one of these descendants. The folder compiled by Sam Clagg with a list of descendants includes an address for each one. Also included in the same folder are three letters regarding the acquisition of Marvin L. These publications relate to his interests in West Virginia and Oklahoma history, as well as Chapman genealogy. Also included are photographs of Webster Springs High School Alumni and newsclippings about various speeches given by Chapman. Notable in the collection is a microfilm copy of a manuscript titled “Teaching Soldiers American History Under Direction of the War Department, 1943-1944” Secret Papers Revealed, 1978.
