Two basic types of dance are performed in this Iranian cultural sphere, and in the Middle East generally. The first is regional folk dancing, most often (but not exclusively) performed in groups. The second is solo improvised dance (sometimes referred to as majilesi 'social' or 'party'). This second form often evokes a strongly negative reaction, reflected, now as in the past, in attempts to ban public performances of solo improvised dance and to marginalize professional performers. Prior to 1948, when the State of Israel was declared, Arab society in Palestine consisted of three main groups - the townspeople, a small percentage of nomadic or semi-nomadic bedouin tribes, and the villagers or "people of the land" who made up three quarters of the population. Over eight hundred villages were scattered from the coastal plains to the Jordan River. Since pre-historic times the Jews regarded the land as their homeland. The history of Jewish existence in Kan'an has never been forgotten. This dissertation explains the contribution of Abu Yusuf in Islamic Finance based on his Kitab al-Kharaj in which he has been regarded as an outstanding Muslim thinker of Hanafi school of thought. In this work, Abu Yusuf highlighted the position of land taxation (al-kharaj) according to Islamic perspective. ln other words, it tries to view Islamic rulings concerning land tax, its procedures as well as its measurement.
