The collection includes a scanned copy of an 1859 will of John Branch and a financial ledger spanning the dates 1923-1937 belonging to G. A. Bailey. The material contained in the ledger is extensive, relating to cash received monthly, and convers approximately 200 pages. The will is only marginally legible given that it is a copy.

The James Russell Wilson, Sr. Papers are a valuable source of Lancaster County, South Carolina history, with a focus on Indian Land history. James Russell Wilson, Sr. (1885-1979) owned a large amount of land in Lancaster County and there is a substantial amount of titles, deeds, and other records of real estate transactions dating back to 1887. There are also a number of quite precise plats and maps. Mr. Wilson’s papers could be of genealogical interest.
