Review Of Anne Laurence, Women In England, 1500-1760: A Social History, Carole Levin Jun 2009

The goals in her study include not only seeing the differences between male and female experience but also the differences as well as shared experience for women …

One powerful rumination on the relevance of China’s 1989 for thinking about Iran’s 2009 is by Andrew Leonard of the “How the World Works” blog at Salon.com:

He begins as follows:

“In the spring of 1989, the fax machine was China’s Twitter — the miracle technology …

On Vacation, Buffalo Gay Men's Chorus

Programs

The year seems to be sailing by, and I wonder where the time has gone. Here we are at the June Concert. As a child, it always took forever for Christmas to get here. The school year would drag on forever. We could hardly stand the last week of school, and exam week was so stressful. What would it be like to be a young kid in todays days of uncertainty? Would you trade any of your life for a new beginning?
