In 2002 and 2003, excavations were conducted at a 5.5 dunams plot between Ha-Tayassim Road and Tslilei Hanina Street (Permit Nos. A-3764, A-4683; map ref. 182517-58/661650-81), under the direction of Giora Parnos. The site is located on a natural hill approximately 30 meters above sea level, on the third kurkar ridge of the central coastal plain. It is surrounded by fertile soil and lies near the main road connecting Jaffa and Jerusalem.

Prospective memory, memory for future events, is used for remembering duties and obligations that all people must complete. Past research has contributed to our understanding of the bases of prospective memory tasks (time versus event) and the kinds of situations requiring prospective memory (appointments, chores, deadlines, and medications). However, research has yet to examine how prospective remembering unfolds over time. A salvage excavation was conducted at the Shuni Quarry in July–August 2001 under the direction of D. Sklar-Parnes, following the discovery of a shaft tomb during quarrying operations. The northern half of the shaft had been destroyed, while a handmade kettle was recovered from its southern half. Based on this find, together with reports of six additional shaft tombs discovered nearby, the excavator dated the use of the burial cave to the Early Bronze Age IV .

In this study, regression analysis was used to examine the affects of item clarity and probability of endorsement on response latencies of 60 undergraduates responding on personality test items from the Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire (16 Personality Factor test) (Cattell, Eber, & Tatsuoka, 1970, 5th Edition). Response latencies to personality test items, though frequently studied, have yet to be operationally utilized in the interpretation of personality tests. Forty-four items from the 16 Personality Factor test were selected. Each item from the original test was rated for clarity and matched with an emotionally neutral statement with an equivalent number of words. …

In June 1997, a salvage excavation was conducted in Lot 69, Neighborhood 9, at Caesarea (Permit No. A-2679/1997; map ref. 18940–9160/70780–1115), prior to construction. A rock-cut burial cave was uncovered in the kurkar ridge east of the ancient city of Caesarea. The cave appears to have been hewn into an earlier quarry. The quarry had been sealed beneath a sand dune, which was removed mechanically.

There is a long history of debate regarding the validity of the Rorschach Inkblot test. Much of the previous research has involved adult subjects within clinical settings. This study investigates the validity of the Rorschach with adolescents classified as being emotionally disturbed according to the educational definition. School personnel and, particularly, school psychologists have the difficult task of identifying individuals who are emotionally disturbed (ED). It appears that a valid measure of covert processes may be helpful in making these determinations.
