The exhibition is the result of colalboration between Dym's class, Mapping the Americas, and several area institutions and libraries. Skidmore's History Department, MDOCS (John B. Moore Documentary Studies Collaborative), and the Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum were the principal campus partners.

Skidmore College Alum John Beckman, '94 (Theater/Design, Art History) delivered a talk on February 18, 2015 at 5:30pm in Davis Auditorium, Experiential Storytelling and Exhibit Design.
John Beckman is Director of Exhibit Design & Development, Museum of Science & Industry (Chicago). Mary Odekon (Professor of Physics) and Ray Giguere (Professor of Chemistry) who had helped curate exhibitions at the Tang Museum, provided commentary.

On January 26, MDOCS hosted photographer/filmmakers Salim Amin and Chip Duncan, who screened the film Mo and Me. The film follows the life of documentary photographer and filmmaker Mo Amin, Salim's father. Duncan discussed a feature film project that he is developing based on this documentary film.

Eileen McAdam offered an introduction to the work of audio storytelling: the collecting, processing, and preserving of cherished stories using the latest digital equipment. In this workshop you will work with portable digital audio recorders and learn basic recording and interviewing techniques. On October 17, participants will learn and practice basic techniques. On November 7, participants will present an interview undertaken independently, and we will talk through lessons learned and next steps.
