Manifesto Of An Arab Female, Diditta Rizk
Amplify: A Journal of Writing-as-Activism
In this manifesto, the author provides a window into her gendered experiences growing up female in the Middle East. In identifying the ways that women encounter obstacles to expressing their full agency in male-dominated societies, the author invites the reader to join her in redefining the narrative of what it is and means to be a woman. The manifesto ends with a call for us to become architects of a new perspective through which equity becomes reality, one where we strive collectively for peace, freedom, and the pursuit of the common good.

DeForesting is a collection of fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry that explores the mental process of creating my stories and characters, and dives into why I am a writer at all. Using familiar tactics, and also subgenres I had never tried before, I probe into new voices, and different styles of writing. Although they are often uncertain and questioning, through that, my CNF and poetry take on a whimsical and open-ended feel. The title refers to the chimerical forest I must nurture and cut down and around in order to create these feelings and writings.

NPS-1 is a biopic/political thriller feature-length screenplay that follows the true story of Stephen Mather, a public relations whiz and self-made millionaire who dedicated his fortune to lobbying for the creation of the National Park Service, eventually becoming its first director. Navigating political obstacles on the path to establishing the NPS, Mather struggles to conceal his history with manic depression as his erratic behavior becomes an increasing threat to the success of his campaign.
