In July 1951, a salvage excavation was conducted in Tiberias, in the area between the Muslim cemetery in the north and the Sewage Treatment plant in the south (map ref. unknown). The excavation began under the direction of M. Dothan and continued under the direction of B. Ravni. The finds in the northern part of the excavated area (the Muslim cemetery) included clay pipes bearing remnants of plaster, large fieldstones, sections of basalt and marble columns, a cistern, walls and floors. In October 1950 and January 1951, trial excavations were conducted in Haifa, following the laying of sewer pipes from Dolphin Street to the Hospital (map ref. unknown). The pipeline extended straight to the Haifa port seawall. The excavations, on behalf of the Department of Antiques and Museums, were directed by M. Prausnitz. Occupation layers that were dated to the Roman, Byzantine, Islamic, Crusader and Mamluk periods were exposed.

In October–November 1950, a salvage excavation was conducted in “Shikun Olim Alef” (the “Olim A” housing complex) in Tiberias (map ref. unknown), under the direction of B. Ravni. The excavation was carried out following the digging of pits for the buildings’ foundations. The remains of structures built of large basalt stones with a filling of small stones set in white plaster were discovered. In 1950, an excavation was conducted in the Tel Arza neighborhood of Jerusalem (map ref. 218/633), following the discovery of two tombs during foundation work for the 'Kerem Avraham' building complex. The excavation, on behalf of the Department of Antiquities and Museums, was directed by Y. Landau. Two tombs were exposed.

In September 1949, a salvage excavation was conducted in Netanya, in the Ben Ami neighborhood (map ref. unknown), following the discovery of a sarcophagus during cable laying. The excavation, on behalf of the Department of Antiquities and Museums, was directed by M. Avi-Yonah. The sarcophagus was found inside a rock-hewn tomb.

In 1948 and 1949, excavations were conducted in Yafo, in the vicinity of St. Peter's Church, under the direction of P.L.O. Guy (map ref. 176/662). In 1948 the remains of a building were exposed, as well as millstones, many fragments of pottery vessels including lamps and pipes, and bronze rings, coins and an iron cannonball, apparently from the time of Napoleon. About 40 finds are registered in the National Treasures (pottery, metal, stone and glass vessels) most of which were dated to the Early Islamic period and the rest to the Hellenistic, Roman, Crusader and Ottoman periods.
