In 1952, an excavation was conducted in Tiberias, east of the house of the Custodian of Absentee Property (map ref. unknown), following the discovery of tombs during the digging of pits. The excavation, on behalf of the Department of Antiquities and Museums, was directed by B. Ravni.

In 1952, an excavation was conducted in Tiberias, west of the house of the Custodian of Absentee Property (map ref. unknown), following the discovery of tombs during repair work in the building. The excavation, on behalf of the Department of Antiquities and Museums, was directed by B. Ravni. The excavation was carried out in a pit (3.5 × 6.0 m, depth 1.1 m) opened by the Public Works Department. Six tombs or parts of tombs were found, of which only three were excavated thoroughly. Some of the tombs were hewn in the rock and some built.

In 1952, a trial excavation was conducted in Tiberias (map ref. 2500/7440), following the discovery of tombs during the digging a channel for pipelines by workers of Tiberias municipal water department (beginning in the middle of the Aliyah Street in the west). The excavation, on behalf of the Department of Antiquities and Museums, was directed by B. Ravni. Eight tombs, of which four were fully examined, were exposed in the channel (0.5 × 107 m, max. depth 0.5 m). In July 1951, a salvage excavation was conducted in Tiberias, in the area between the Muslim cemetery in the north and the Sewage Treatment plant in the south (map ref. unknown). The excavation began under the direction of M. Dothan and continued under the direction of B. Ravni. The finds in the northern part of the excavated area (the Muslim cemetery) included clay pipes bearing remnants of plaster, large fieldstones, sections of basalt and marble columns, a cistern, walls and floors. In October 1950 and January 1951, trial excavations were conducted in Haifa, following the laying of sewer pipes from Dolphin Street to the Hospital (map ref. unknown). The pipeline extended straight to the Haifa port seawall. The excavations, on behalf of the Department of Antiques and Museums, were directed by M. Prausnitz. Occupation layers that were dated to the Roman, Byzantine, Islamic, Crusader and Mamluk periods were exposed.

In 1949, an excavation was conducted at the el-Haddar site in Tel Aviv, on the northern bank of the Yarkon River (map ref. 183/668). The excavation was conducted following the discovery of two tombs during sand removal by contractors. The excavation, on behalf of the Department of Antiquities and Museums, was directed by J. Ory. The remains of two simple trough graves, built within a frame of stones, were discovered on the site.
