On October 27, 1996, a salvage excavation was conducted at the Jelil (Gelilot) site (Permit No. A-2561/1996, map ref. 18230–5/67435–50). The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority, was directed by I. Ben David, with the assistance of Y. Nagar (physical anthropology), V. Pirsky and D. Porotzky (surveying), Y. Gorin-Rosen (glass finds), and R. Kool (numismatics).

In February 1979, an excavation was conducted at the ancient cemetery in Tel Bira (map ref. 21628/75630), following mining in the quarry east of Tel Bira, near the Tamra–Shfaram road. The excavation, on behalf of the Department of Antiquities and Museums, was directed by Y. Ben Yosef with the assistance of Y. Vatkin and M. Tsuya (surveying and plans). A burial cave was exposed in the excavation.

In 1955, an archaeological excavation was conducted at Tel Qasile in Tel Aviv (map ref. unknown), under the direction of J. Kaplan. The archive file records the exposure of a kiln for ceramic vessels' production, in the vicinity of which pottery sherds were recovered and dated to the tenth century BCE.

In 1976, a further excavation was carried out at Tel Qasile (map ref. 1806/6675), likewise under the direction of J. Kaplan. The archive file contains an excavation report of a Middle Bronze Age burial cave, together with a detailed inventory of the finds.

In February 1966, a trial excavation was conducted in Haifa, on the eastern slope of the creek separating Atayasi and the southern apartment blocks of Romema neighborhood (map ref. unknown). The excavation was carried out following the marking of the area as an antiquities site by the Haifa–West survey team, and in order to permit construction in the designated area. The excavation, on behalf of the Department of Antiquities and Museums was directed by M. Goren, with the assistance of A. Berman and D. Urman.

In January–February 1965, salvage excavations were conducted at Khirbat Sharta and Khirbat Sharatti, near Kefar Ata (presently Qiryat Ata; map ref. 212/746), following the discovery of a burial cave during ground leveling. The excavations, on behalf of the Department of Antiquities and Museums, were directed by A. Ovadya. Khirbat Sharta and Khirbat Sharatti are located on two hills facing each other. In 1967, another excavation was conducted at Khirbat Sharta following the discovery of an additional burial cave that was dated to the Byzantine period.

In November–December 1964, a salvage excavation was conducted in Givat Yesha’ayahu, following the discovery of two burial caves during the digging of a basement on a private plot (map ref. unknown). The excavation, on behalf of the Department of Antiquities and Museums, was directed by O. Negbi. Each of the caves included a vertical shaft and two chambers. In the first cave, a number of skeletons were found in a state of disintegration, as well as dozens of complete pottery vessels, a stone mortar, cosmetics vessels made of faience and a scarab.
