Since "Global Village" theory was proposed, it has been the label of McLuhan's media ideas and in a well-known yet vague situation. In order to clarify the misunderstandings, according to the basic line of McLuhan's media exploration, the text elucidates the combination of literature research, media research and urban studies in detail, and clarifies the process of the unique perspective on the dialogue between disciplines, which put forward the "Global Village". Throughout her life, Eileen Chang has used the third-person narrative that limited the viewpoint of the protagonists; however, this narrative method underwent different changes during different stages of Chang's life. In her early works, the perspective of the protagonist was depicted by the omniscient narrator and some settings were described through the perspective of the protagonist as well as the narrator. This type of intentional confusion created by the narrative method was an important technical feature in Eileen Chang's novels. The proposition "Li Yu's Reincarnation" was put forward initially based on the analogy of reincarnation, and later acquired a clear reference. In the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, the discussion of this proposition focused on Chen Zilong and Nalan Xingde. It is generally accepted that the current versification standard of regulated verse established in the Tang dynasty remains unchanged over one thousand years. However, until the early and middle Qing dynasty, there were actually at least three different academic trends of versification theories of regulated verse. 于省吾（1896-1984)，中國著名古文字學家、訓詁學家，著作成果頗豐，其古籍《新證》系列，以古文字及出土器物作為考訂及訓釋的材料，被視為開啟山林之作。當中《尚書新證》是《新證》系列中最早出版的著作，可反映于氏訓詁方法的早期面貌。在乾嘉考據學派的訓詁方法和王國維「二重證據法」的影響下，于氏《尚書新證》對《尚書》今文28篇的字詞、句義多有新見，其訓釋的價值實不容忽視。然而，近人研究于氏《新證》系列，卻沒有以《尚書新證》作研究對象，因此，本文試以《尚書新證》為研究對象，並探討其價值。 論文共分三章。第一章交代《尚書新證》的撰作背景、動機，及其版本、體例。第二章會從《尚書新證》内文及于氏發表的論文，歸納並討論于省吾的《尚書》學觀。第三章為《尚書新證》之内容考述及特色，介紹此書有別於其他《尚書》注釋著作之連類訓釋方法，討論此書運用古文字資料為證及紀錄異文的情況，並分別歸納于氏解釋字義、詞義，以至句義之方法，亦會兼及《尚書新證》的内容特色。最後總結全書，討論《尚書新證》對後世學者的影響，並對此書作出評債。

This study aims to 1) investigate the difference in the scorings between PA and teacher assessment in oral presentation, and 2) explore student’s attitude about PA through both quantitative and qualitative approaches. A class of 12 students in an upper-intermediate Chinese language class adopted PA by using Poll Everywhere during an academic year. The results indicate that intermediate-high Chinese learners and instructor interpret the criteria differently in Pronunciation, Fluency, Clarity, and Accuracy, but agree with the scores on Content and Delivery. Most students are positive that PA is a useful method to help them actively participate in class discussions and …

One of the most beloved passages in the Zhuang-Zi text is a dialogue between Hui Zi and Zhuang Zi at the end of the “Qiu-shui” chapter. While this is one of many vignettes involving Hui Zi and Zhuang Zi in the text, this particular vignette has recently drawn attention in Chinese and comparative philosophy circles. The most basic question concerning these studies is whether or not the passage represents a substantial philosophical dispute, or instead idle chitchat between two friends. This paper loosely draws some parallels between the experience of a subject in a so-called “Legalist” state with that of a contemporary student in Western schooling today. I explore how governance in the Book of Lord Shang and the Hanfeizi can be interpreted as pedagogy. Defining pedagogy in a relatively broad sense, I investigate the rationalizations for the existence of the state, the application of state mechanisms, and even the concentration of the ruler’s power all teach subjects habits, attitudes, and sensibilities in a similar fashion to what Philip Jackson called the “hidden curriculum”. This article develops a comparative analysis of healthcare provision to migrants in the US and in China. It proceeds in three parts. First, we begin by describing the growth of the unauthorized population and trace the evolution of social provision of healthcare to immigrants, highlighting the restrictive nature of federal social provisions and greater autonomy of state and local governments in redefining eligibility criteria in the US.
