延安時期的婚戀小說研究 : 延安《解放日報》副刊為重心, Xiaoyan Ma

延安時期，婚戀問題作為與農村傳統習俗對抗的焦點，以及獲得「群眾」支持的重要武器，被賦予了一種無法迴避的政治使命。1941年，中國共產黨在延安創辦大型中央機關報《解放日報》，其副刊亦成為延安時期極具影響性和權威性的文藝陣地。本文以延安《解放日報》副刊（1941.5.16-1947.3.27）的婚戀小說為主要研究對象，同時加入延安時期未在《解放日報》副刊發表，但影響較大的小說，如：、《小二黑結婚》等，作為論文的補充與對照向度。嘗試解決以下問題：一、延安時期的婚戀小說對五四時期的婚戀小說有何主動與被動的改變；二、探析作家如何思考「性」、「經濟」、「政治」、「家庭」在革命中的位置，各種政治、文化、思想因素出於何種理由、以何種形式滲入到婚戀故事之中，又是如何建構出一種新的主體想像。

Reverse glass paintings, a form of Chinese export art, were extensively traded in the nineteenth century. Several examples are on display in prominent Thai Buddhist monasteries in Bangkok. King Nangklao of Siam, Rama III, encouraged Sino-Siamese trade that brought Chinese objects and images to nineteenth-century Siam. The ideals of accretion and abundance characteristic of Thai Buddhism and the sinophilia of Rama III facilitated the construction of “Chinese-style” Thai temples. Glass paintings with scenes of the Pearl River Delta, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, auspicious objects, and bird-and-flower compositions were installed in temples and inspired new directions in Thai mural …

Tim Oakes’ (1998) concept of touristic modernity accurately describes how the Chinese national discourse surrounding tourism, as both a tool for economic growth and nation-building, has shaped what the local reality has become for many towns and villages in the peripheral regions of China, especially those with large populations of ethnic minorities. Specifically in the Dali Bai Autonomous Region, foreign tourism followed by nostalgia-fueled domestic tourism has transformed Dali into a commercialized tourist destination, which has begun to spill out to other towns around the lake such as Xizhou. Talk Shows And Language Attitudes: A Sociolinguistic Investigation Of Language Attitudes Towards Taiwan Mandarin Among Chinese Mainlanders, Chun-Yi Peng

Dissertations, Theses, and Capstone Projects

This dissertation looks at the effects of media exposure and language ideologies on Mandarin speakers’ acceptability judgments. Although there is a long-standing tradition against citing media exposure as a source of language variation, I show that 1) media exposure to a non-local perceptually salient variant can make people more likely to rate non-local linguistic features as grammatically acceptable, and 2) media exposure shapes people’s language attitudes—a new alignment of attitudes is emerging among the millennials on the mainland.

Data were collected through an online survey consisting of grammaticality judgments, matched-guise tasks, open-ended attitudinal questions, and demographic questions. The data show …

In the world of art, the forgery has generally been considered inferior to the original. Through a thought experiment comparing a perfect fake with the original which cannot be differentiated in appearance, it is revealed that they are alike just in external aesthetic features, but for the intrinsic aesthetic values, the differences are tremendous. The forgery is void of two essential properties of art: the authenticity which emphasizes the uniqueness of the artwork, the originality which focuses on the creative process. Although the critical methods and practices of Roman Jakobson's linguistic poetics made great achievements during the 1960s-1970s, Michael Riffaterre and Jonathan Culler, as representatives in the structuralist camp, successively introduced the criticisms of Jakobson, the former espousing the theory of "reader-response" and the latter that of the reader's "literary competence". Lu Xun's idea of fiction writing was deeply influenced by his conceptualization of the book A Brief History of Chinese Fiction. Lu Xun initially read fictions as a historical phenomenon while currying the ancient Chinese fictional writings, and his lectures on the topic showed that he intended to take the perspective of nationalist critique. These showed that Lu Xun's guiding idea for writing the history of Chinese fiction was the cultivation of integrate men. There are three academic approaches to Liang Qichao's aesthetic thoughts: political criticism of Cai Shangsi around 1949, enlightenment criticism of Li Zehou in the new period, and aesthetic criticism of Jin Ya in this century. Art historian Rosalind Krauss argues that Jackson Pollock has introduced a new medium in art practices by creating horizontal space in his all-over paintings. Such a medium has transcended the physical dimension of the object and become a persistent model, which greatly illuminated the subsequent minimalism and pop art. While setting out from a classic modernist approach, Krauss's criticism takes on a Structuralist outlook different from modernism.
