Human Behavior Centered Museum Guided Tour System, Yenmin Chen

Theses

As new technologies appear, many devices or tools become more and more powerful. New technology also gives us more options to choose from in our daily lives, not only in ways used for school, but also with the devices used to surf the Internet. Certainly, we have more variety available in the various aspects of our lives, such as entertainment, education, work etc.--but new technology brings with it more problems, too. Learning Styles Of Myers-Briggs Type Indicators, Juanita Jane Cohen May 2008

Learning Styles Of Myers-Briggs Type Indicators, Juanita Jane Cohen

All-Inclusive List of Electronic Theses and Dissertations

This research study illustrated that personality type influences learning style. The study compared the personalities expressed in Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) to Felder and Silverman's (1988) Index ofLearning Styles (ILS). Phase one was a combined MBTI and ILS assessment that was administered to 105 participants. The research did indicate a correlation between specific dichotomies ofMBTI, ILS, and LP. The Extravert and Introvert dichotomy in MBTI appeared to correlate with the Active and Reflective dichotomy …

Textile Society of America: Symposium Proceedings

This documentary, filmed in 2006, examines the process of naturally dyed carpet production in a village in the Milas region of Muğla Prefecture in southwest Turkey, a region well known as a traditional Turkish carpet production area. In large numbers of villages of this region, carpet weaving is the household based work of every woman who lives there.

In this paper, I aim to add more detailed information and discussion specifically on the colors and dyes of the carpets shown in this film. First I will introduce the varieties of the natural dye materials the villagers use one by one. …

The Need For Speed (And Grace): Issues In A First-Inventor-To-File World, Margo A. Bagley

Faculty Articles

“One is the loneliest number that you’ll ever do.” This lyric applies to the United States which, since 1998, stands alone among the world’s patent systems in awarding patents to the first person to invent a claimed invention (first to invent, or “FTI”) as opposed to the first inventor to file an application claiming the invention (“FITF”). But its lonely days may soon be over: a provision in pending patent reform legislation will (if passed) move the United States from FTI to FITF and end its solitary stance.

Some argue that the U.S. already has a de facto FITF system, …
