In this paper, I will discuss my research for the Souvenirs from Southeast Asia exhibition that I curated for The W Galleries in the 2026 spring semester. I was a student worker for the Galleries at the time, and I was the first person to do in-depth research on this material. We received this artwork in 2011 from alumna Betty Fikes Copeland, who had lived in Indonesia in the 1960s. This collection consists of batik fabrics, katazome prints, and Thai temple rubbings. My exhibition included a sampling of all three art forms.

Tigilan Mo Nga!: A Zine Utilizing The Elements Of Digital Illustration To Highlight Ocd Experience In A Filipino Household, Zia Mei C. Ocampo

DLSU Senior High School Research Congress

Tigilan Mo Nga! is a zine inspired by Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in a Filipino household as well as the manifestation and effects of obsessive-compulsive disorder. The purpose of this zine is to further and fully understand the OCD experience. It is told from the perspective of a young Filipino with OCD. Data from two written interviews that were accomplished by an OCD patient and a BS Psychology Major were used as inspiration for illustrations in the zine. Overall, the zine includes themes of stigma, OCD in a Filipino household, and compulsions.

Since the first decades of the twentieth century, Peruvian poetic tradition has been characterized by experimental uses of language. Among these possibilities, some records tensioned this medium from the link with the plastic arts, as in the case of the poetry of José María Eguren, while others opted for the playing with the spatiality and visuality of the blank sheet, such as in the case of the work of Carlos Oquendo de Amat. However, it is not until the appearance of the poetry of César Vallejo, specifically with a poems like Trilce in 1922, that these breakages force us to …

“Recreating The Tinted Lithograph Using Stones And Photo-Plates”, Beauvais Lyons

This technical demonstration will present a simple and direct approach to combining stone and plate lithography to recreate tinted lithographs common to the first half of the 19^th century. My approach is an adaptation of methods described in Michael Twyman’s book The Techniques of Drawing on Stone in England and France and Their Application to Works of Typography (Oxford University Press, 1970). The tinted lithograph uses the same principles as the chiaroscuro woodcut, but is capable of achieving a significantly broad range of tones.
