They had two children: Merilyn and Sara Patricia Witherspoon. They moved to North Carolina where Harry worked as a manager. Marguerite died in 1954 with her husband Harry followed in 1956.

Hattye Mae White was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 16, 1897. She attended Ward-Belmont during the 1916-1917 school year. She married Charles Cousins Johnson Jr. on September 7, 1918, and the pair had one son, Captain Charles Cousins III, born August 2, 1919. Captain Cousins would later die during World War II. Hattye Mae White Johnson died on June 23, 1979, in Texas.

Judith married Rivers McNeill Anderson and had three children: Bettie, Rivers and Judith. She died in 1938. Her sister Emily married James Anderson and the pair did not have any children. Emily died in 1977 while her husband passed a year later in 1978.

After school, she returned to Lake Charles and eventually married Richard Joseph Zander on June 18, 1919. The couple moved to Pennsylvania where he worked as a partner in a men’s clothing manufacturing business and Helen was a homemaker. They had four children: Judith, Richard Jr., Julia, and Simone. Richard Zander Sr. died on December 17, 1954, and Helen passed on March 5, 1982.

Nell Roberts was born on May 2, 1886, in Harriman, Tennessee. She attended Belmont College for Young Women during the 1904-1906 school years. After school, she married Charles W. Whitcomb and became a homemaker. The pair that three children: James, Dorothy, and Mary. Sadly, Nell died after an operation on January 7, 1929. Her husband would pass on March 28, 1959.

Date of photograph is unknown but tintypes flourished in popularity in the 1860s and 1870s and the clothing of the figures suggests a similar time period.

When a dancing master arrived in Boston in 1685 and offered lessons and classes for both sexes during times normally reserved for church meetings, the Puritan ministers went to court to suppress the practice. Increase Mather (1639-1723) took the leading part, writing and publishing this tract, which compiles arguments and precedents for the prohibition of “Gynecandrical Dancing, [i.e.] Mixt or Promiscuous Dancing, viz. of Men and Women … together.” These justifications were certainly shared with the court, which found the dancing master guilty, fined him £100, and allowed him to skip town.
