Lived Experiences: Music Educators’ Stress In The Covid-19 Pandemic, Karen Koner, Jennifer Potter Gee, Brianne Borden

Visions of Research in Music Education

The purpose of the study was to examine music educators’ stress and stressors during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this multiple case study (Creswell, 2012; Merriam & Tisdell, 2016), we examined practicing music educators’ stress and stressors pertaining to teaching and life experiences. Participants all self-identified as females and were practicing music educators (N = 16) from various geographical locations in the United States, representing K-12 general music, ensemble conducting, applied lessons, and university instruction. All participants participated in weekly focus groups over a 12-week period during the spring of 2021. We analyzed data through open coding (Gibbs, 2007), yielding four …

The Sonata para Flauta e Piano, T.5, by Brenno Blauth (1931-1993), is a standard of the Brazilian flute repertoire. This document studies its folk and Brazilian popular music elements in order to better understand Blauth’s compositional rationale.

In 1959 Blauth was responsible for the creation of the group Movimento Musical Renovador. Based in Rio de Janeiro, MMR gathered renowned composers and performers with the goal of promoting Brazilian classical music. Chapter III is dedicated to the group’s initiatives, taking its political and cultural contextualization into account.

本研究將以大名府為例，從軍屯、漕運和馬政三種國家制度展示元明華北國家秩序對地方社會重塑的過程。本研究不僅能夠為華北的衰落提供制度層面的解釋，還能說明元明制度的連續性。本文第二章和第三章將討論明初大名府的衛所和軍屯。這二章會結合大量不同地域和時期的地方志對大名府軍屯的設置、分布和數量做一考證，並通過東明縣穆氏家族說明這一二元體系對地方社會產生的影響。本文第四章將通過河南漕糧於小灘鎮交兌這一經濟活動進一步說明大名府被塑造為薊州鎮「飛地」的過程。本章將通過梳理豫漕交兌點之變說明豫漕交兌對小灘鎮的依賴，並分別從環境和制度兩個角度說明交兌點變與不變的原因。本文第五章將以大名府為例從「餘地征銀」的角度重新檢討明代華北馬政的負擔。本文將通過考證史料說明，實際上明代馬政並未對華北地方社會造成想像中的沉重負擔。總之，本文將通過軍屯、漕運、馬政三種國家制度說明明代國家權力對位處北方內地的大名府重塑的過程，並冀求通過這一過程說明華北的衰落，以及元明制度間的連續性。

How Domestic Violence Affects Incarcerated Women, Michelle Ryman

The incarceration of women has grown seven times since the 1980s, with up to 90% of incarcerated women being survivors of domestic violence. Women are five times more likely to be abused by an intimate partner. Intimate partner violence leads to unhealthy coping mechanisms like drug abuse and violence against perpetrators. While coercion in IPV can contribute to violent retaliation and drug abuse, it can also lead to criminal behavior prompted by the perpetrator. Biographers like Robert Blake have produced retellings of Disraeli’s life encompassing several volumes, and there are a multitude of writings on the lasting legacy he left on the Conservative Party and the United Kingdom as a whole. This Capstone Research Project aims to address the certain aspects of Roman Catholic moral teaching. Throughout this project I argue that when it comes to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transexual and Queer (LGBTQ+) Catholics, the moral teaching is essentially corrupt. This paper begins by providing an overview of current Catholic teaching relevant to LGBTQ+ persons. A rectangular stela was found in the vicinity of Tell Heboua I by accident in early 2020. The stela was uncovered 500 m to the west of the fortification walls of Heboua I, during a land reclamation project which is going on in the western vicinity of Tell Heboua I. Our well-trained guard, Hassan al-Masody, recognized the limestone slab on top of the embankment of a small drainage canal. This paper aims to study a round-topped funerary stela of anxw from Abydos, preserved now in Sohag National Museum Inv. Nº.876. The present study provides a discussion of the meaning of their names and title. Additionally, it aims to transcribe, transliterate, translate, and comment on the inscription. The artistic style together with the orthographic and paleographic features of the stela, could be dated to the late twelfth dynasty or early thirteenth dynasty.
