Relationship Between Athletic Identity And Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy Among Korean Collegiate Student Athletes, Jong Joo Moon

This study explored barriers that Korean collegiate student athletes confront with regard to pursuing careers outside of professional athletics. More specifically, the purpose of the study was to identify the barriers to Korean student athletes’ career development, as well as to examine the relationships among the psychological constructs of athlete identity and career decision making self-efficacy. A total of 321 Korean student athletes participated in the study, including 263 men (81.9%) and 59 women (18.1%). This purpose of this thesis is to develop a theological foundation for a Pentecostal theology of discipleship. I begin with an analysis of the early Pentecostal movement and its implications on Pentecostal theology. This is to develop a framework within which my proposed theology can be developed. Next, I assess discipleship from a broader perspective, identifying crucial aspects of it that are not specific to Pentecostalism. I appeal to the Anabaptist tradition’s understanding of discipleship specifically, recognizing key components which allowed their theology to be so effective. The genre of young adult literature has grown from a didactic category made of problem novels and taboo themes into a mimetic vision of modern life by way of dystopian fiction. In my thesis, I will discuss the ways in which young adult literature has changed over time and what those changes will mean for its readers and its future as a genre. On August 7, 2016, ten-year-old Caleb Schwab rode the world’s tallest water slide, the Verrückt (German for “insane”) at the Schlitterbahn Water Park in Kansas City. During the 168-foot plummet, Caleb came free from his safety harness, was ejected into the safety netting, and died from what was originally classified as a “neck injury” but later identified as a decapitation. His family has mourned him in public, expressing their grief but also their intention to prevent similar tragedies. Historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and Black Greek-lettered organizations (BGLOs) are institutions and organizations that provided African Americans with options for unification and education during years of overt racial discrimination when education and socioeconomic comforts were limited for the vast majority of Americans of African descent, and they continue to serve as support structures for African Americans today. Nevertheless, in the “postracial” era of accountability, questions surrounding the relevance of these organizations have become common discourse. The data in this report are drawn from three U.S. Cenusu Bureau datasets: the 2014 American Community Survey 1-year estimates, the 2010–2014 American Community Survey 5-year estimates, and the 2010-2014 American Community Survey 5-Year Public Use Microdata Sample (PUMS). Each are distinct data sets with different samples and estimates. The dataset used for each table and chart is indicated.

Population data from the 2010 Decennial Census may be found in the Institute for Asian American Studies report from October 2012. The American Community Survey is not intended to be used for accurate population counts.

Ben Jonson wrote Volpone when England's pamphlet wars and the rule of Queen Elizabeth I contributed to an environment in which the "woman question" was forefront in many minds. These social concerns echo in Volpone, resulting in a play that not only deals with vices and greed, but that also, to a limited degree, contributes to the querelle de femmes. The play's numerous animal metaphors create distinctions between characters; among other things, animalistic surnames represent the vices and complexities of humanity, and, more specifically, reverberate with judgments that seem to underscore the injustices of misogynistic pamphleteers.
