The Construction Of A Transatlantic Subject: Family And Nation In "Sola" By María José De Chopitea, Valeriya F. Fritz

The Coastal Review

This article explores the articulation of exile identity in the novel Sola by María José de Chopitea published in Mexico in 1954. Until now, critics have approached this text as lacking ideological argument. I propose an alternative reading of the novel as an ideologically charged narrative that articulates the nation beyond state borders and in terms of a transatlantic bond between Mexico and the Spanish Republic. Sola creates space in the nation for Catalan female writers who were previously excluded due to both their gender and their status as political exiles and cultural minorities.

Por el cielo y más allá invites the reader to reflect upon populist discourses paving the way for discrimination and marginalization; especially those aimed at a different gender, ethnic group, national origin or even an academic sub-specialty. Those who were persecuted in the past are now the ones harassing, and use the ambiguity of words as their tool. Words, in turn, enslave but also help set the others free. The memories of those marginalized are perpetuated through education, letters, poems and songs. They oppose the official discourse and invite the reader to avoid monolithic discourses and embrace tolerance and diversity.

Los Italianos, El Lunfardo Y El Tango, Federica Goldoni

This study discusses common myths about the Italian immigration to the Rio de la Plata, tango and lunfardo, two cultural products of that immigration. This article resulted from an ethnographic research carried out in Buenos Aires between 2006 and 2014, and the participants were 49 Rioplatenses. The data collected revealed important details about the origin of Italian immigrants, their profession, social integration, and language. This study also shed light on tango music and dance, its myths and protagonists. สารนิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มุ่งศึกษาการแปลนวนิยายซึ่งใช้รูปแบบการนำเสนอเป็นเครื่องมือสำคัญในการถ่ายทอดสารในต้นฉบับ โดยนำนวนิยายเรื่อง Beloved มาเป็นกรณีศึกษา เพื่อแสวงหาแนวทางการแปลและวิธีการแก้ปัญหาในการแปลที่เหมาะสมกับตัวบทลักษณะดังกล่าว กรอบทฤษฎีหลักซึ่งนำมาใช้ในการศึกษาตัวบทต้นฉบับ ได้แก่ การแปลวรรณกรรมตามแนวคิดของฟอร์ตูนาโต อิสราแอล และทฤษฎีภาษาศาสตร์สังคม นอกจากนี้ ผู้วิจัยยังได้นำเอาทฤษฎีการแปลพื้นฐานอื่นๆ มาประกอบการศึกษาตัวบทต้นฉบับด้วย ซึ่งได้แก่ ทฤษฎีวาทกรรมวิเคราะห์ ทฤษฎีการแปลแบบยึดความหมาย การแปลวรรณกรรมตามแนวคิดของวัลยา วิวัฒน์ศร และทฤษฎีวัจนกรรม หลังจากที่ได้นำทฤษฎีข้างต้นมาประยุกต์ใช้แล้ว พบว่า แนวทางการแปลวรรณกรรมของฟอร์ตูนาโต อิสราแอลและทฤษฎีภาษาศาสตร์สังคมสามารถนำมาประยุกต์ใช้ร่วมกันในการแปลและแก้ปัญหาที่พบในตัวบทประเภทนี้ได้เป็นอย่างดี

ประเทศไทยนั้นมีศิลปะและวัฒนธรรมตลอดจนขนบธรรมเนียมประเพณีอันดีงามมาช้านาน ทุนวัฒนธรรมเป็นการนำเอามรดกทางด้านวัฒนธรรมมาสืบสานและต่อยอดในด้านต่างๆ ศิลปะจลศิลป์เป็นการผสมผสานระหว่างความก้าวหน้าทางวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีหลอมรวมกับศาสตร์ความรู้ทางด้านศิลปะเพื่อสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะที่สามารถเคลื่อนไหวได้อย่างอิสระและปัจจุบันวงการออกแบบเครื่องประดับในประเทศไทยและต่างประเทศยังไม่มีผู้ใดได้นำเอาแนวคิดทางด้านทุนวัฒธรรมมาผสมผสานกับศิลปะคิเนติกเพื่อสร้างสรรค์เป็นผลงานเครื่องประดับร่วมสมัย ผู้วิจัยจึงเล็งเห็นโอกาสและความเป็นไปได้ในการสร้างสรรค์เครื่องประดับโดยใช้แนวความคิดทางทุนวัฒนธรรมมาผสมผสานกับแนวความคิดศิลปะคิเนติกและสร้างสรรค์เป็นเครื่องประดับร่วมสมัยเพื่อให้เกิดความแปลกใหม่ในท้องตลาด อีกทั้งเป็นการพัฒนาสร้างสรรค์และผลักดันงานออกแบบจากการใช้ทุนวัฒนธรรมขึ้นไปอีกระดับหนึ่ง ทั้งนี้ผลการวิจัยพบว่าการสร้างสรรค์ศิลปะการออกแบบเครื่องประดับโดยใช้ทุนวัฒนธรรมประเภทหุ่นละครไทย ทำให้เกิดเครื่องประดับที่สามารถดึงเอาเอกลักษณ์ของหุ่นละครไทยทั้งทางด้านโครงสร้างกลไกการเคลื่อนไหวภายในรวมไปถึงรูปร่างลักษณะภายนอกนำมาผสมผสานกับแนวความคิดทางด้านการเคลื่อนไหว เพื่อสร้างสรรค์นวัตกรรมการออกแบบเครื่องประดับที่มีเอกลักษณ์โดดเด่นในเชิงพาณิชย์และพบกรรมวิธีออกแบบเครื่องประดับที่สร้างสรรค์แปลกใหม่ โดยตัวเครื่องประดับสามารถขยับเคลื่อนไหวรวมทั้งถอดประกอบปรับเปลี่ยนประเภทการใช้งานได้หลากหลายตามแต่ความต้องการของผู้สวมใส่ การสร้างนวัตกรรมการออกแบบเครื่องประดับเคลื่อนไหวจากแนวคิดทุนวัฒนธรรมเป็นการสร้างความสนใจให้กับกลุ่มคนรุ่นใหม่ เพื่อให้ตระหนักในคุณค่าของวัฒนธรรมไทยอันเป็นเอกลักษณ์หนึ่งเดียวของโลกและหันกลับมาสนใจงานออกแบบเครื่องประดับร่วมสมัยที่ใช้แนวคิดจากทุนวัฒนธรรมมากขึ้น ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับนโยบายของภาครัฐที่ต้องการพัฒนาและส่งเสริมทุนวัฒนธรรมในเชิงพาณิชย์เพื่อสร้างโอกาสในการพัฒนาผลงานการออกแบบจากทุนวัฒนธรรมไทยให้เกิดความยั่งยืนทางด้านเศรษฐ สังคม และวัฒนธรรมของไทยสืบต่อไป

การเปลี่ยนแปลงเป็นสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นอยู่ตลอดเวลา ในอดีตเชื่อกันว่ามีเพียงความศรัทธาต่อศาสนาเท่านั้นที่จะสามารถเปลี่ยนโลกใบนี้ได้ แต่ในปัจจุบันเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลก่อให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็ว ส่งผลกระทบในวงกว้างต่อการดำเนินชีวิตของผู้คน และพฤติกรรมการเรียนรู้ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในพิพิธภัณฑ์ยุคดิจิทัล ปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้นคือ นักออกแบบไม่สามารถสื่อสารการพัฒนารูปแบบพิพิธภัณฑ์เสมือนที่สอดคล้องกับความต้องการของกลุ่มผู้ใช้ชาวดิจิทัลนี้ได้ การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยแบบผสมผสาน มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อพัฒนารูปแบบของพิพิธภัณฑ์เสมือน เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการเรียนรู้และประสบการณ์ผู้ใช้ และเพื่อศึกษาผลการออกแบบรูปแบบของพิพิธภัณฑ์เสมือนต่อการรับรู้เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการเรียนรู้และประสบการณ์ผู้ใช้ ด้วยการสร้างชุดเครื่องมือการวิจัย แบบสัมภาษณ์ แบบสอบถาม และแบบประเมิน โดยเก็บข้อมูลจากพิพิธภัณฑ์เสมือน ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ และกลุ่มผู้ใช้ชาวดิจิทัล ผลการวิจัยพบว่าสามารถหารูปแบบพิพิธภัณฑ์เสมือนเพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการเรียนรู้และประสบการณ์ผู้ใช้ โดยระบุได้ทั้งองค์ประกอบที่เกี่ยวข้อง และหลักการออกแบบเรขศิลป์ ซึ่งสามารถนำมา ประยุกต์ใช้สื่อสารกับกลุ่มผู้ใช้ชาวดิจิทัล และพิพิธภัณฑ์อื่น ๆ ที่มีลักษณะใกล้เคียงกัน นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่ารูปแบบความเสมือนจริงจากอดีตถึงปัจจุบันมีความแตกต่างกัน เนื่องจากตัวแปรด้านสภาพแวดล้อมและการรับรู้ของผู้ใช้ในแต่ละยุค พิพิธภัณฑ์เสมือนจึงไม่ได้เป็นเพียงแค่เครื่องมือที่สื่อสารกันระหว่างพิพิธภัณฑ์กับผู้ใช้เท่านั้น แต่ยังเป็นเวทีที่ผู้ใช้สื่อสารระหว่างกัน โดยการแบ่งปัน แลกเปลี่ยน และเชื่อมโยงเรื่องราวที่น่าสนใจ จากสื่อหนึ่งไปสู่สื่ออื่น ๆ อย่างไร้ขีดจำกัด พิพิธภัณฑ์เสมือนจึงไม่ได้ถูกจำกัดในรูปแบบดิจิทัลเท่านั้น แต่ยังหลอมรวมเข้ากับสื่ออื่น ที่มีมาตั้งแต่อดีต เป็นการเล่าเรื่องที่เฉพาะเจาะจง สั้นและกระฉับ ด้วยสื่อที่สอดคล้อง น่าสนใจ แฝงด้วยปริศนา ให้ค้นหา เรียนรู้ และจินตนาการ

การออกแบบเรขศิลป์สำหรับวัยเกษียณด้วยแนวความคิดเพลงสุนทราภรณ์, หัฐณัฐ นาคไพจิตร

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาถึงปัญหาและความต้องการของวัยเกษียณ 2) ศึกษาหลักการและข้อแนะนำพื้นฐานเพื่อการออกแบบเรขศิลป์สำหรับวัยเกษียณ 3) เพื่อกำหนดองค์ประกอบและหลักการออกแบบเรขศิลป์สำหรับวัยเกษียณ ด้วยแนวความคิดเพลงสุนทราภรณ์ โดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยแบบผสมผสาน ได้แก่ การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านระเบียบวิธีวิจัย ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านมนุษย์และสังคมศาสตร์ การสนทนากลุ่ม ระหว่างผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านดนตรี กับผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการออกแบบเรขศิลป์ การสนทนากลุ่มระหว่างกลุ่มเป้าหมายจำนวน 5 ท่าน และการใช้แบบสอบถามผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านดนตรี จำนวน 5 ท่าน ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการออกแบบเรขศิลป์ จำนวน 5 ท่าน และกลุ่มเป้าหมายจำนวน 5 ท่าน ใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา ในการบรรยายคุณลักษณะสิ่งที่ต้องการศึกษา ด้วยวิธีการรวมตัวแปร แล้วแจกแจงความถี่ และค่าร้อยละ แล้วทำการสรุปผลออกมาเป็นลำดับ ผลการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลตามวัตถุประสงค์งานวิจัยพบว่า1) ปัญหาและความต้องการของวัยเกษียณ สามารถแบ่งออกเป็น 4 ประเด็น คือ
1.1 สุขภาพ 1.2 เศรษฐกิจ 1.3 สังคม 1.4 ที่อยู่อาศัย
2) ข้อแนะนำพื้นฐานเพื่อการให้ข้อมูลสำหรับวัยเกษียณ ประกอบด้วย
2.1 ลักษณะของคอลัมน์ ที่เหมาะสมในการให้ข้อมูลสำหรับวัยเกษียณ คือ แบบ 1 คอลัมน์ และ 2 คอลัมน์
2.2 ลักษณะขนาดของตัวอักษรที่เหมาะสมในการให้ข้อมูลสำหรับวัยเกษียณ คือ ขนาด 16 พอยต์ และ 18 พอยต์
3) แนวทางการออกแบบเรขศิลป์สำหรับวัยเกษียณ

นิทานเรื่องศรีธนญชัยในสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์ไทยร่วมสมัย, อัญมาศ ภู่เพชร

วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้ศึกษาการนำนิทานเรื่องศรีธนญชัยมาใช้ในสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์ไทยร่วมสมัยประเภทนิทานภาพและหนังสือการ์ตูนที่พบทั้งหมดในปัจจุบันจำนวน 8 เรื่อง และศึกษาพลวัตและบทบาทของนิทานเรื่องศรีธนญชัยที่ปรากฏในสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์ไทยร่วมสมัยดังกล่าว ผลการศึกษาพบว่า นิทานเรื่องศรีธนญชัยในสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์ไทยร่วมสมัยจำแนกได้เป็น 3 กลุ่ม คือ 1) ศรีธนญชัยในสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์ไทยร่วมสมัยที่ยังคงเค้าโครงเรื่องเดิม 2) ศรีธนญชัยในสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์ไทยร่วมสมัยที่มีการดัดแปลงและสร้างสรรค์บางส่วน 3) ศรีธนญชัยในสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์ไทยร่วมสมัยที่มีการสร้างสรรค์ใหม่ โดยมีลักษณะการนำองค์ประกอบนิทานเรื่องศรีธนญชัยมาใช้ในสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์ไทยร่วมสมัย 3 แนวทาง คือ 1) การคงองค์ประกอบเดิม เช่น อนุภาคเหตุการณ์สำคัญ อนุภาคตัวละครสำคัญ ความเป็นนิทานเจ้าปัญญา 2) การดัดแปลงองค์ประกอบ เช่น อนุภาคเหตุการณ์สำคัญ อนุภาคตัวละครสำคัญ แนวคิดสำคัญ 3) การเพิ่มเติมองค์ประกอบ เช่น อนุภาคตัวละครสำคัญ แนวคิดสำคัญ องค์ประกอบที่สร้างอารมณ์ขัน พลวัตในนิทานกลุ่มที่คงเค้าเรื่องเดิมมี 2 ประการ คือ 1) การเปลี่ยนแปลงรูปแบบจากเรื่องศรีธนญชัยมาเป็นนิทานภาพและหนังสือการ์ตูน 2) การเปลี่ยนแปลงเนื้อหาเพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับสื่อรูปแบบใหม่ ในนิทานกลุ่มที่มีการดัดแปลงและสร้างสรรค์บางส่วน และในนิทานกลุ่มที่มีการสร้างสรรค์ใหม่ พบพลวัต 3 ประการ คือ 1) การเปลี่ยนแปลงรูปแบบเป็นหนังสือการ์ตูนและนิทานภาพ 2) การเปลี่ยนแปลงจุดประสงค์เพื่อเป็นสื่อความรู้ทางวิชาการและการสอนศีลธรรม 3) การเปลี่ยนแปลงเนื้อหาเพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับสื่อรูปแบบใหม่และบริบทร่วมสมัย ได้แก่ การเพิ่มอนุภาคเหตุการณ์ใหม่เพื่อให้ความรู้ทางวิชาการและสั่งสอนคุณธรรม การเพิ่มอนุภาคตัวละครประกอบที่มีลักษณะแปลกใหม่ น่าสนใจ การเปลี่ยนรายละเอียดอนุภาคตัวละครเอกให้มีลักษณะที่สอดคล้องกับวัตถุประสงค์และเนื้อเรื่องที่สร้างสรรค์ใหม่ การเปลี่ยนรายละเอียดอนุภาคเหตุการณ์เพื่อนำเสนอเรื่องในแง่มุมใหม่ การยืมอนุภาคตัวละครจากวรรณคดีเรื่องอื่นมาใช้ และการยืมอนุภาคเหตุการณ์จากวรรณคดีเรื่องอื่นมาใช้ การปรับเปลี่ยนดังกล่าวสัมพันธ์กับการอนุรักษ์และเผยแพร่นิทานไทย และการสร้างจุดขายของสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์เพื่อดึงดูดความสนใจของผู้บริโภคในสังคม การปรับเปลี่ยนนี้ส่งผลให้นิทานเรื่องศรีธนญชัยในสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์ไทยร่วมสมัยมีบทบาทหน้าที่ในการให้ความเพลิดเพลิน บทบาทในการอบรมระเบียบสังคม และบทบาทในการเป็นสื่อการเรียนรู้สมัยใหม่

งานวิจัยเรื่องการสร้างซอสามสายของครูศักดิ์ชัย กาย มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาประวัติการสร้างซอสามสาย กระบวนการสร้างซอสามสาย และศึกษาปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อคุณภาพเสียงซอสามสายของครูศักดิ์ชัย กาย โดยผู้วิจัยเก็บข้อมูลการศึกษาภาคสนามระหว่างปี พ.ศ. 2559 - 2561 ครูศักดิ์ชัย กาย พบปัญหาของซอสามสายว่าเสียงของซอสามสายมักจะถูกกลืนในขณะที่บรรเลงกับเครื่องดนตรีชนิดอื่น จึงได้ริเริ่มที่จะพัฒนาและยกระดับคุณภาพเสียงของซอสามสายให้ดังกังวาน และมีความไพเราะยิ่งขึ้นโดยได้ร่วมมือกับช่างซอระดับแนวหน้าของประเทศไทย ผลการศึกษาพบว่าครูศักดิ์ชัย กาย ได้ทำการอนุรักษ์และปรับปรุงทั้งรายละเอียดต่าง ๆ จากกระสวน ซอสามสายของสมเด็จพระเจ้าบรมวงศ์เธอ เจ้าฟ้าบริพัตรสุขุมพันธุ์ กรมพระนครสวรรค์วรพินิต จนทำให้เกิดคุณภาพเสียงและรูปทรงในแบบฉบับของตนได้สำเร็จ ผู้วิจัยได้พบปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อคุณภาพเสียงซอสามสายของครูศักดิ์ชัย กาย 6 ประการ คือ 1. การสร้างกะโหลกซอสามสายที่ไร้แกนยึดทวนมีผลทำให้เกิดคุณภาพเสียงที่ดังกังวาน 2. การกำหนดรูปแบบขอบขนงซอสามสายให้มีลักษณะโค้งเว้ารับกับการขึงหน้าซอทำให้เกิดการสั่นสะเทือนของหนังหน้าซอมากขึ้น 3. พื้นผิวภายในกะโหลกซอที่เรียบมีผลทำให้การกำธรภายในมากขึ้นกว่าซอสามสายสมัยก่อน 4. การลงรักปิดทองภายในกะโหลกซอมีผลทำให้พื้นผิวภายในมีมวลหนาแน่นส่งผลทำให้มีการกำธรเสียงที่ดีขึ้น 5. การคัดเลือกหนังสำหรับขึงหน้าซอที่ใสและมีความบางประมาณ 0.15 มิลลิเมตร มีผลทำให้การสั่นสะเทือนของเสียงมีการสั่นสะเทือนเร็วขึ้น 6. รูปแบบการขึ้นหน้าซอที่ไม่หุ้มหลังกะโหลกซอมีผลทำให้กะโหลกซอสั่นสะเทือนได้เต็มที่ จึงช่วยทำให้เสียงซอมีความดังและกังวานมากขึ้นกว่าซอสามสายแบบเดิม

Instruction in meaningful grade aligned English Language Arts (ELA) content for students with moderate to severe intellectual and developmental disabilities provides a full educational experience that can lead to increased quality of life. Many teachers, however, face barriers in how to teach meaningful, grade aligned ELA. This article bridges research to practice by describing effective strategies for teaching a wide range of strands that fall under ELA, such as comprehension, writing, and student-led research. In addition, a framework is offered as a model of how to put it all together when teaching grade aligned ELA.

Samoa’s history as an island nation, with its cultural heritage of migratory peoples, followed by settler colonialism and missionaries, has resulted in its uniquely amalgamated food system. Cuisine varies from traditional crops and recipes to imported canned goods, although dependence on the latter has led to wide-ranging health problems. A way to confront these problems is through reclaiming local cuisine, renewing its popularity and promoting the concept of food sovereignty. In the 1940s and early 1950s, the American Jewish Committee (AJC) sought to develop an international vision in response to a world in flux. This project represents the first attempt to triangulate the relationship between India, Israel, and Jewish-American civil society, employing the case of India as a means for understanding the way in which the AJC shaped its worldview in the decade after World War II. Reflectance spectroscopy was used to study the cyanotype printing process. Originally this process was used to make photocopies of building designs, but today it is used for art. The cyanotype process is a photo catalyzed oxidation-reduction reaction. This study altered the concentrations and reagents involved in the printing process, and it included the use of ammonium ferricyanide and ammonium iron(III) oxalate along with the traditional potassium ferricyanide and ammonium iron(III) citrate. The impact of these changes on the rate of formation of Prussian blue was observed and quantified. Rate laws and general trends were determined for the reagents involved. Qualitative …

The Folger Shakespeare Library's recently launched Digital Anthology of Early Modern English Drama (EMED) provides searchable, TEI-encoded, digital editions of 403 English plays first staged in London between1576 and 1642. A central task for participants at the Folger's 2016 summer workshop "Beyond Access: Early Modern Digital Texts in the Classroom" was to devise pedagogical uses for the Digital Anthology. Bruce Springsteen works within musical traditions in a way that acknowledges their influence and at the same time creates something new. This paper focuses on Springsteen’s relationship to the American folk tradition and the ways in which he creates a dialogue with that tradition in order to offer his own distinct perspective. By looking at Springsteen’s lyrics and their intertexts, we can appreciate how he engages the tradition and transforms it. Ultimately, his audience makes meaning from his songs by understanding them as part of a tradition, recognizing the earlier works that inform Springsteen’s lyrics, and considering both the effect …
