The Impact Of Greenhouse Gas Emissions On The Aggravation Of The Global Warming Problem 2011, Adnan Awda Al-Taie

Uruk Journal of Human Sciences

The age of our planet Earth reaches more than (5000) million years) during which the climate witnessed several changes and within different periods (.. as research indicates, Borisov. 1973, p. 20) that the climate goes through cycles or oscillations, some of which are long and include tens of centuries and others are short and include tens of years. These cycles have different effects on human conditions. Due to the importance of such cycles, many theories have emerged that attempt to explain their causes, taking the time measurement of these oscillations as a basis for that (Sharif, 1987, p. (14). There …

Magnification In The Quranic Expression: Its Types And Implications, Ali Farhan Jawad Sep 2015

Magnification In The Quranic Expression: Its Types And Implications, Ali Farhan Jawad

Uruk Journal of Human Sciences

The research presented a set of Quranic expression methods to indicate a unified Quranic meaning, found fragmented in books of grammar, rhetoric, and interpretation. To my knowledge, it has not been referred to as an independent study in any research or academic dissertation. The research concluded that the specific concept of glorification is the vastness and finiteness of the description, the essence of which cannot be encompassed by knowledge. It is noted in the semantic difference between the Arabic dictionary and the Holy Text in the use of glorification that the lexical evidence is mostly evidence of a renewed, actual …

Missionary Activity Of The Church Missionary Society In North Africa, Egypt As A Model 1869 - 1956, Asim Hakim Abbas Al-Jubouri Sep 2015

Missionary Activity Of The Church Missionary Society In North Africa, Egypt As A Model 1869 - 1956, Asim Hakim Abbas Al-Jubouri

Uruk Journal of Human Sciences

This study examines the role played by the British Church Missionary Service in Egypt through its evangelization of Egypt's demographics and its relationship with British imperialism. The British religious presence in Egypt was determined by two important factors: the development of trade between Western Europe and the Near East, where British demand for Egyptian cotton in the nineteenth century led to large numbers of businessmen settling in Egypt. In addition, the opening of the Suez Canal in 1869 gave further value to trade with Egypt, increasing its strategic importance.

Correspondence Of The Senses In The Poetry Of The Blind Of The Abbasid Era, Amer Salal Al-Hasnawi Sep 2015

Correspondence Of The Senses In The Poetry Of The Blind Of The Abbasid Era, Amer Salal Al-Hasnawi

Uruk Journal of Human Sciences

The research is based on studying the technique of correspondence of the senses, and how the blind poet benefits from it in constructing some of his images, this pictorial style which is based in its content on the participation of more than one sense in drawing the poetic image. The blind poet has exploited this technique and adapted it to support his imagination to draw images of nature, so he created images by means of it, most of which he spread in the folds of his poetic purposes. Since these correspondence images contribute to arousing more than one sense at …

Directing The Qur’Anic Text In Light Of The Letters Of Meaning, Prepositions As An Example, Ahmed Hussein Abdel Sada Sep 2015

Directing The Qur’Anic Text In Light Of The Letters Of Meaning, Prepositions As An Example, Ahmed Hussein Abdel Sada

Uruk Journal of Human Sciences

The impact of the Arabic language - with its grammar and eloquence - on understanding the Holy Qur’an is not hidden. Indeed, scholars have made knowledge of the Arabic language one of the most important conditions required for anyone who wants to interpret the Qur’an and derive rulings from it. Among the topics of Arabic science is the topic of the meanings of letters or the letters of meanings. Al-Zarkashi (d. 794 AH) said: “The search for the meanings of letters is what the interpreter needs because of the difference in their meanings.” (1) Al-Suyuti (d. 911 AH) mentioned these …

Manifestations Of Extinction In The Poetry Of Ibn Hamdis Al-Siqilli, Hussein Majeed Rustum Al-Hassouna Sep 2015

Manifestations Of Extinction In The Poetry Of Ibn Hamdis Al-Siqilli, Hussein Majeed Rustum Al-Hassouna

Uruk Journal of Human Sciences

This research achievement constitutes a step in the literary research that is concerned with studying the manifestations of the feeling of disappearance and fragmentation and its relationship to textual performance, and its role in producing poetic semantics and shaping its data, as it stops at a psychological phenomenon that almost constitutes a dominant stylistic and expressive feature in the production of the poet Ibn Hamdis Al-Siqilli, who experienced the pain of separation and felt the torment of alienation and the nothingness of the mortal world. Perhaps we are not far from the truth if we say that the phenomenon of …

The Algerian Novel In The Eyes Of Western Criticism Through The Magazine Ceuvres Et Critique, Ghaniat Kabir

Uruk Journal of Human Sciences

Modern Algerian literature has renewed many literary genres, including the novel, which has reached a high level in terms of form and content, philosophical stance and artistic principles. This has attracted Western criticism, which has focused in most studies on the novel written in French. In our study, we focused on the criticism of the works and criticisms contained in the magazine "Œuvres et critique." There are many studies in this issue that have dealt with the Algerian novel compared to the Maghrebi novel, given that the Algerian novel written in French has received the attention of Western criticism for …

The Significance Of The Temporal Structure In The Novel Frankenstein In Baghdad, Mohammed Abdul Hussein Huwaidi

Uruk Journal of Human Sciences

Our choice of this novel was linked to its wide resonance and spread, which succeeded in conveying the rhythm of the Iraqi era not only to the Arab reader, but its message extended to other languages and cultures, after it was able to win the Arabic Booker Prize. This novel represents an aesthetic artistic structure that carries the Iraqi concern and pain, and the rhythm of the time of death that cast its shadows on the lives of Iraqis as they move and live within its tensions.

Semantic Contrast In Al-Mutanabbi’S Elegy For His Grandmother, Faiza Abdul Zahra Jamil Sep 2015

Semantic Contrast In Al-Mutanabbi’S Elegy For His Grandmother, Faiza Abdul Zahra Jamil

Uruk Journal of Human Sciences

Antithesis is a rhetorical phenomenon that comes to confirm meaning. It has been of interest to logicians and philosophers because of its close connection to existence and the universe, and the relationship of man to them in his quest for a state of certainty. The poet relied on it in his elegy for his grandmother, to describe his condition as a result of this loss, which he stood helpless before, and his feeling of sadness, pain and bitterness of loss. The experience is real, and thus the emotion is sincere, strong and overflowing with meanings and ideas in which the …

Mass Armenian Migration To Iran During The Reign Of Shah Abbas I 1587-1629 Ad, Asim Hakim Abbas Al-Jubouri

Uruk Journal of Human Sciences

Shah Abbas I began his rule by defining the framework of the state system and its centrality by utilizing as much as possible the experience of the local population of the Safavid state, as well as the population of the regions neighboring his state, specifically the Armenian highlands and its cities. Armenia was distinguished by its societies with economic and social capacity, driven by the desire to secure the northern borders of his state from the expansion of the Ottoman state, which felt threatened by Shah Abbas I and his targeting of its economic and population capabilities after he attracted …

Geopolitical Dimensions Of Changes In Arab Political Systems, Ghalib Nasser Al-Saadoun Sep 2015

Geopolitical Dimensions Of Changes In Arab Political Systems, Ghalib Nasser Al-Saadoun

Uruk Journal of Human Sciences

Naturally, from time to time, the state is forced to take legal measures to achieve harmony between political conditions appropriate to the requirements of the land or time. When governments in political units that contain contradictions are unable to achieve this harmony, and if they are unable to eliminate internal contradictions, a popular uprising takes place to correct the situation, or revolutions take place to reconcile requirements and procedures, between what is actually happening and what should be done based on the requirements of the land (space) or time, with what these two dimensions carry and the ability associated with …
