The papers of Albert Wakefield Sweazy cover the years 1924 to 1996 with a concentration of materials that have no date.  Included in this collection are Reports, Subject Files, Literary Productions, Scrapbook Materials, Audio Recordings, and Printed Materials.

Subject files include the history of churches he served and much material on the history of the UM church in Kentucky, biographical and historical data, and sermons. The bulk of the collection contains newspaper clippings that Mrs. Mathews collected over the years about her former students. There are also a few dozen photographs, along with wedding invitations, school pageants and programs, commencements, handwritten and typed correspondence, reunion correspondence, Greenline newsletters (a publication for Marshall University alumni), church programs, funeral/death announcements and holiday cards. Diese Arbeit versucht vor allem die widersprüchliche Rolle der CDU/CSU-Regierung in der Atompolitik zu erklären. Die Kehrtwende der Merkel-Regierung, die nach dem Unfall in Japan zu einem Atomausstieg führt, deuten darauf hin, dass die Regierung die friedliche Nutzung des Atoms hauptsächlich als politisches Manöver benutzte. Weiterhin als die Umstände der deutschen Atomwirtschaft vorgelegt sind, die auf 40 Jahren von Geschichte der Atompolitik und –Wirtschaft basiert sind, weisen sie auch darauf hin, dass dieses Manöver nur der CDU-CDU betrifft. I believe there is value in creating items for daily life, paying them as much attention as any artwork. This begs several questions: Where is the intersection between art and life? When does life become art, and when is art life? This thesis explores the complexity of human involvement with the gigantism of nature. I studied this experience by creating my own natural panoramas, to intensify the human interaction by enabling the viewer to see a vast space in a small, concentrated form. Reversing the scale from massive to miniscule is the center of my thesis; what is it about the all-encompassing scenery of towering mountains, or long green fields that makes them so visually and conceptually powerful? Using plaster and plywood, I explored this reaction by recreating familiar geological features, such as cave dwellings, cliffs, mountains and fields. Soon the …

While the name "Yves Congar" is recognizable by theologians and others there is a gap between recognition and familiarity: awareness that there was an Yves Congar is distinguished from knowing what he stood for and what he did. Eight years before Vatican II Congar was so distrusted by the Church that he was "distanced" from France for almost two years. Yet, several years after Vatican II he was elevated from priest to Cardinal in one day.

We know little about communication in Pentecostal worship service outside of the practice of tongues-speech. Pentecostals uniquely interpret communicative activity as distinctive factors in their identity; yet no research identifies the unique national speech codes operating with the Pentecostal churches. This study applied decreased that knowledge gap using Philipsen's Speech Codes Theory to analyzing the structure and interpretation of Pentecostal worship services, analyzing individual congregations in relationship with local culture and situated within the national Pentecostal movement. Toward the end of the twentieth century Russian culture found itself at a crossroads which cannot be ascribed to any political election but which rather presupposed a radical change in its religious and social orientation. Two somewhat opposing theses will be developed in this article. First I will discuss the processes of secularization in Russian culture and the necessity of a third, neutral zone between the "sacred" and the "profane." This project aims to demonstrate how the current racial ideology in America is portrayed through television media. It is primarily guided by the work of Eduardo Bonita-Silva and his masterful examination of post-civil rights racism in the United States in his book Racism Without Racists. From a firm understanding of the ideology of this new racism -- its frames, styles, and storylines -- the content of two televisions shows are analyzed to identify the racial ideology and the representations of people of color within.
