The aim of this paper is to examine the extent to which detailed empirical analysis of the metrology and proportional systems used in the design of Irish ecclesiastical architecture can be analysed to provide historical information not otherwise available. Focussing on a relatively limited sample of window tracery designs as a case study, it will first set out to establish what, if any, systems were in use, and then what light these might shed on the background, training and work practices of the masons, and, by association, the patrons responsible for employing them.

The Southern Ocean is home to two major types of fishes: endemics in the suborder Notothenioidii and representatives of oceanic fish families that are widely distributed in the midwater and benthic environments elsewhere (e.g. bathylagids, myctophids, liparids, and zoarcids) In most regions of the coastal Antarctic, e.g. the Ross Sea, there is a distinct separation in the pelagic communities at the shelf break between the oceanics (off-shelf) and the endemics (on-shelf). The purpose of this project was to examine how attachment theory and emotional reactivity intersect in emotional regulation and to develop an educational seminar that increases parent/caregiver's awareness of behaviors that shape a child's emotional development. Attachment is an emotional connection between the parent/caregiver and child that alleviates the child's wariness and stress. Parent/caregiver and infant interactions form attachment patterns that: (a) describe the parent's response to the child's emotional reactivity, (b) result in relational styles, and (c) affect the quality of the emotional connection between them.
