The preceding comments have been about the Pentecostal movement as a whole, but this thesis is concerned primarily with its third stream, the Oneness Pentecostal movement, that deserves attention in its own right. As Walter J. Hollenweger in The Pentecostals observes, there is "also a not inconsiderable group of Pentecostals for whom the only valid baptism is that carried out 'in the name of Jesus. According to Hollenweger, the dispute regarding the correct formula of baptism-a dispute between Trinitarian Pentecostals who baptize in the titles of the Trinity following Matthew 28:19 and the Oneness Pentecostals who baptize in Jesus' name …

Report From The Field: Public History At Howard University, Elizabeth Clark-Lewis

At Howard University, the public history program uses new empirical methodologies and pedagogies to engage students and nonacademic audiences. This article outlines the specialized knowledge, perspectives, approaches, practices, issues, and critical concerns of this program. It illustrates how focused, innovative research opportuni- ties simultaneously move students beyond the boundaries of academic theories, pub- licly funded agencies, private corporations, or entrepreneurial firms while helping them remain sensitive to community-based programs, projects, institutions, and con- stituencies. Public history is congruent with service, a core value of Howard Univer- sity, and it strengthens the university's ability to reach beyond the confines of academe; …

Synopsis: Hyronomous, an inept and lonely frog prince, lives in a bog in the kingdom of Spamelot. Hyronomous is bored and unhappy as a frog. He’s larger than the other frogs and hates the taste of flies. One day, the good witch Gloria appears to tell him he was once a human prince and it was a spell that turned him into an amphibian.
