Why even look at Politian, an unfinished failure? While it is true that Politian was a failure for its time and surely one of Poe's least successful attempts, it may improve on a stage with a more modern perspective. If not solely for examination of Poe's artistic effort, Politian also warrants a closer read due to its historical relevance by way of Beauchamp and Sharp. Poe, a most fastidious editor of his work, was ultimately required because of financial constraints to lay aside Politian in its unfinished state. This paper presents an exegetical analysis of the petitions of the Lord's Prayer followed by an historical and theological review of its ritual usage within the communion rite. By examining each petition in detail, we see a close parallel between the contents of this prayer and the contents of the Eucharistic Prayer. This prayer helps us to more concretely grasp what it means to be a eucharistic people. Given this understanding the Lord's Prayer's ritual usage is examined throughout history. Wrestling With The Angels: Hollywood's Sawdust Trail Of Believers, Preachers, And Moviemakers, Coriann Bright

Whittier Scholars Program

This project is a 59 minute long documentary based on Coriann Bright’s self-design major, Religious and Philosophical Perspectives in Film. Wrestling with the Angels overviews Hollywood’s portrayal of the Evangelical tradition and its impact on her own religious journey. This compilation documentary combines religious theologies about faith, specifically covering the dynamics of faith in Evangelism and Hollywood’s treatment of this issue. The documentary includes portions of films and analyzed through a voice-over narrative. This project includes the script, a shooting long, and filmography as well as the video.
