The Lack Of Privacy As A Stressor For Families In The Ministry, Paula Raines-Newton

This thesis project examined the effects of the lack of privacy and congregational intrusion on femilies in the ministry. It was expected to find marital well-being related to privacy level within the home and congregational intrusiveness. It was also expected to find differences between ministers and their wives on reported Privacy and Intrusion scales and the Dyadic Adjustment Scale (DAS), specifically, women reporting more congregational intrusiveness, less privacy, and less marital satisfaction. The thesis consists of two sections: research and creative. The research section includes brief analyses of five young adult novels that received the Newbery Medal, awarded annually by the American Library Association to the author of the most distinguished contribution to children's literature. The creative section is an original young adult novel that incorporates some of the characteristics uncovered in the analysis of the Newbery novels. En faistant le relevé des publications, on peut cerner l'évolution, les problèmes et les perspectives d'avenir de la recherche en études littéraires acadiennes et notamment établir qu'elles sont en train de passer d'un premier stade de développement caractérisé par la production d'athologies et de textes d'histoire littéraire à un second stade qui met l'accent sur l'analyse critique.

Une Douloureuse Éclipse Amoureuse Dans Le Paysage Québécois: Analyse Du Dernier Récit D'Anne Hébert, Lilian Pestre De Almeida

Le texte aborde Aurélien, Clara, Mademoiselle et le Lieutenant anglais, le dernier récit d'Anne Hébert, et l'articule avec sa production précédente (romans et poèmes). Il explore successivement certains fils de la trame textuelle : soleils féminins et ténèbres masculines; rapports entre nature et culture; nouvelles variations littéraires sur des thèmes anciens. Ce récit est surtout une manière de nommer le paysage du pays natal.

Léon-Gontran Damas Et Saint-Denys Garneau: Poésies Et Figures De La Violence, Kanaté Dahouda
Présence Francophone: Revue internationale de langue et de littérature
En 1937, l'écrivain guyanais Léon-Gontran Damas fait paraître son premier recueil de poésie, Pigments. La même année, Saint-Denys Garneau, poète québécois, publie Regards et jeux dans l'espace suivi, plus tard des Solitudes. Ces oeuvres se caractérisent par la recherche d'une modernité poétique déterrminée par un profond désir de liberté. Chez Damas comme chez Garneau, cette quête se déploie dans un imaginaire de la violence. Suivant une démarche comparative, cet article vise à étudier des formes et des fonctions esthético-idéologiques de cette violence à travers les textes poétiques susmentionnés des deux auteurs francophones.

Les Hommes qui marchent de Malika Mokeddem, née dans l'Ouest du désert algérien, est un hymne d'amour à tous les nomades. La protagoniste, Leila, transgresse tous les interdits que lui impose la société arabo-musulmane. Elle puise son courage dans l'oralité de sa grand-mère Zohra qui lui conte les pérégrinations des <>. L'école constitute l'autre planche de salut de Leila, mais aussi son premier exil. Des années plus tard, sous d'autres cieux, la parole archéologique de Zohra l'invite à s'écrire et à retourner aux sources; là commence la véritable libération de Leila.
