Sexual Harassment Of Working Women: An Exploratory Study, Cheryl Mcmichaels

The purpose of this study was to empirically investigate the subject of sexual harassment. A total of 82 women were recruited from central Illinois to fill out a questionnaire on sexual harassment and the Assertiveness Inventory (Gambrill and Richey, 1975). An attempt was made to control the subjects for occupational levels. Their occupational levels ranged from physician to unskilled worker, and their educational levels ranged from a high school degree to an advanced degree. The women in this sample worked full-time, part-time, and did volunteer work.

This graduate thesis deals with my feelings and interpretation of the nude female figure in my drawings, paintings, and sculpture pieces; as well as the representations of other artists. The unique aspect about this special object is the broad range of interest it has created through the years. Since the female figure has such great versatility it can be viewed from a realistic portrayal as well as from a complete abstraction, and still be creatively effective.

The following paper is the description of a creative fine arts project involving the writing, direction, and design of an original play, Sons of the Morning. This work is examined from both literary and theatrical viewpoints, with an eye to evaluating the entire learning experience.

Structuralism is used as the critical mode in the literary analysis. This technique reveals the existence of many dichotomies--good/evil, strength/weakness, love/hate--in theme, plot, and character. These opposites create conflict, the basis of drama, and contrast. They are the source of tensions between the characters and within each individual. The dichotomies are also seen to …
