A panel discussion held at Brigham Young University in February 1962 discussed the importance of the U.S. Constitution to members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The five participants covered topics such as the preservation of liberty, the LDS belief that the Constitution is divinely inspired, the question of whether church members' political beliefs would affect their standing in the church, and the role of the government in the American economy.

Although Leonardo da Vinci's accomplishments in art, medicine, and engineering are well known, his insights into geology are not. This article seeks to bring attention to principles of geology that, widely recognized today, were first articulated by da Vinci in his manuscripts. His writings about fossils, water and erosion, and internal earth forces constitute an important and relatively unknown contribution to earth science.
