A Working Model For The Rehabilitation Of Juvenile Delinquents, Harvey C. Klapstein

During the last decade, institutional treatment of delinquents has shifted decidedly toward community based programs designed around a family unit model. Throughout the country, various state and local agencies have acquired large, older homes in well-established neighborhoods and turned them into residences for delinquent adolescents. These homes are similar to half-way houses in their size and operation. House parents, usually a young married couple, live in the house and provide supervision for five or ten juveniles. During the day, these residents either go to school or work, and during the evening they engage in various recreational and school related activities. …

One of the characteristics for the end of this twentieth century is a political chaos and a lack of solid foundations. The cry for peace is louder than ever in the past history of human life. Yet, the actions of man and their consequences bring forth only injustice and the oppression of the poor. The "self" of man does not change, even if it functions under different so-called political systems.

Current Eschatology: Militarism Superimposed Upon Daniel?, Janet Lorraine Sedgley

The objective of this study is to look at current eschatological literature in an attempt to determine if it reads militarism back into the book of Daniel.
"Current" is defined to mean books dating from 1960 to the present, 1983. Eschatological is interpreted to mean the doctrine of Christ's second coming. It does not, for the purposes of this project, include the doctrines of death, resurrection or immortality. Militarism is defined as "predominance of the military class or prevalence of their ideals; the spirit which exalts military virtues or ideals: the policy of aggressive military preparedness.
