Jack Kleinsinger presents Highlights in Jazz. The concert was held at The Pace Downtown Theater, Thursday, May 10th, 2001 at 8:00 pm in cooperation with Pace University Performing Arts, Dr. Nicholas Catalano- University Director. Jack served as producer and master of ceremonies for the series of concerts. Artists for the concert include Joe Bushkin, Howard Alden, Jay Leonhart, Joe Ascione, Arvell Shaw, Brian Sledge, Joey Cavaseno, Gary Valente, Frank Derrick, and special guest Marty Napoleon.

The 24-member UNF Chamber Orchestra, currently in its fifth year, will feature the Music Department’s string students in a performance of Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings, opus 48, one of the Russian composer’s masterworks. Next, the string ensemble will be joined by woodwind, brass, and percussion students, expanding the ensemble to the 48-member UNF Symphony Orchestra for performances of the Four Dance Episodes from Rodeo by Aaron Copland, and Finlandia by Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. This marks the first time a full symphony orchestra - comprised mostly of UNF students and some members of the JSO - takes the stage of …
