A Study Of The Speech Philosophy Of Alexander Campbell And The Application Of That Philosophy, Rudy L. Morrow Sep 1973

A Study Of The Speech Philosophy Of Alexander Campbell And The Application Of That Philosophy, Rudy L. Morrow

Dissertations and Theses

A great religious Awakening was taking place in 1805 until the end of the Civil War. Religious debates became the order of the day, and were at least equal in importance to the political debates. Alexander Campbell was one of the leading debators of the period. He was born September 12, 1787, in Ireland, but moved to America in 1809, settling in western Virginia. In 1812, Alexander and his father, Thomas Campbell, launched what they called "The Restoration Movement", in which they were seeking for the unity of all Christians on the basis of the Bible.

Communication Theory And Interpreters Theatre: Toward A Model For The Form, Gail Dixon '73

Honors Projects

For too long and for too many people the field of speech
has been characterized by fragmentation of rather than unity
between its various areas of concentration. These areas,
Interpretation, Speech and Hearing Pathology, Rhetoric and
Public Address, Communication Theory, Radio and Television,
and Theatre have developed almost into singular disciplines

A Study Of Selected Vocabulary And Phonetic Speech Patterns Of College Students In Illinois, James R. Osborn '73

Honors Projects

In this paper I distinguish dialect boundaries in Illinois simply within the frame of reference of my selected group and compare these results with previously published works (especially those of Northern Illinois). Literature And Law: How The Literary Quality Of A Political Statement Has Affected The Development Of Law In Tanzania, Robert L. Scott Apr 1973

Literature And Law: How The Literary Quality Of A Political Statement Has Affected The Development Of Law In Tanzania, Robert L. Scott

IUSTITIA
