Adaptive Soft Region-Of-Interest Selection For Metrology Using Physics-Informed Machine Learning, Yoel Shimo Arieli
Adaptive Soft Region-Of-Interest Selection For Metrology Using Physics-Informed Machine Learning, Yoel Shimo Arieli
Defensive Publications Series
A system and method are disclosed for adaptive selection of a measurement region-of-interest (ROI) in metrology images, such as semiconductor overlay and critical dimension metrology. Instead of a binary inclusion/exclusion mask, a soft ROI is used: a pixel-wise weight map assigning each pixel a continuous value representing its reliability and informational contribution, so that pixels dominated by edge diffraction, stray light or neighboring-structure interference are down-weighted rather than discarded. The weight map is produced by a machine-learning model, in one embodiment a Physics-Informed Neural Network trained with a composite objective comprising a measurement accuracy term based on reference metrology data …

Liquid-Cooled Dual-Polarity Busbar With Grounded Hollow Return Conductor Coolant Channel, N/A
Liquid-Cooled Dual-Polarity Busbar With Grounded Hollow Return Conductor Coolant Channel, N/A
Defensive Publications Series
A liquid-cooled busbar assembly uses a hollow, extruded copper return conductor as a Grounded Hollow Return Conductor Coolant Channel (GHRCCC). The return conductor connects to earth ground, allowing a grounded coolant to flow in direct contact with the conductor’s interior surface. This direct contact transfers heat from the return conductor into the fluid without passing through any thermal interface materials. A solid copper positive conductor is positioned adjacent to the return conductor and is separated from it by an electrically isolative, thermally conductive polymer. Heat from the positive conductor transfers through the polymer to the return conductor and subsequently into …
Dynamic Health Tracking And Automated Preservation Control System For Power Electronics And High-Ambient Hvac Infrastructure, N/A
Defensive Publications Series
A predictive health and control system performs Dynamic Health Tracking for power electronics and energy storage components within high-ambient HVAC infrastructure. The system polls real-time thermal telemetry and operating parameters from internal components — including DC bus capacitors, insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs), and variable frequency drives (VFDs) — as well as indirect thermal proxies (such as cabinet ambient air, outdoor yard ambient, cooling fan status, carrier switching frequency, and DC bus voltage ripple) at established intervals. Using this telemetry, an integrated controller or an analytics engine applies a time-integrated cumulative thermal-stress degradation function (such as an Arrhenius reaction rate …
Acoustic Resonant Self-Cleaning Assembly, N/A
Acoustic Resonant Self-Cleaning Assembly, N/A
Defensive Publications Series
An active self-cleaning assembly programmatically removes particulate buildup from temperature sensors and deflector baffles within data center cooling modules. The system uses a high-frequency acoustic transducer (e.g., piezoceramic PZT, magnetostrictive transducer, electromagnetic actuator, or piezo-composite stack) clamped to a structural guy-wire, which serves as an acoustic waveguide to transmit ultrasonic standing waves ranging across a broad spectrum of 15 kHz to 100 kHz (nominally 28 kHz to 40 kHz). These waves propagate to the coupled temperature sensor and baffles, inducing high-acceleration microscopic vibrations that overcome surface adhesion forces and shed accumulated dust into the leaving airstream. A fancoil controller with …
Pressure-Balanced Plenum Latching System With Integrated Mechanical Emergency Override, N/A
Pressure-Balanced Plenum Latching System With Integrated Mechanical Emergency Override, N/A
Defensive Publications Series
A pressure-balanced door latch for a data center containment plenum uses the differential pressure gradient between a hot aisle and a cold aisle to engage its latching mechanism. The latch housing contains a dual-ported pneumatic chamber with a piston mechanically coupled to a deadbolt. As the differential pressure rises (typically in the range of 0.010 to 0.200 inches of water), the force on the piston extends the deadbolt through a stroke gap of 0.25 to 1.5 inches, creating a scalable clamping force that provides a tight seal and self-releases at low pressure via a return spring. A mechanical emergency override, …

Floor Map-Driven Dynamic Spectrum Management For Wifi 8, Vijay S. Reddy, Ardalan Alizadeh, Peiman Amini, Navid Reyhanian
Defensive Publications Series
A system is proposed herein for coordinating WiFi 8 Dynamic Sub-channel Operation (DSO), Non-Primary Channel Access (NPCA), and Dynamic Bandwidth Expansion (DBE) across a fleet of access points (APs). The system uses floor map-aware radio frequency (RF) modeling to generate location-dependent DSO policies and coordinated cross-AP NPCA channel plans, validates wired backhaul capacity before permitting DBE, and uses aggregated client capability information to tailor DSO policies to a site's client mix. For operation in the 6 GHz band, the system incorporates Automated Frequency Coordination (AFC) channel and power constraints into DSO and NPCA policy generation and pre-computes fallback configurations before …
Hardware-Anchored Bidirectional Mutual Authentication With Combined Entropy For Secure Integrated Circuit Life Cycle Transitions, Miguel Osorio, Michael Schaffner
Hardware-Anchored Bidirectional Mutual Authentication With Combined Entropy For Secure Integrated Circuit Life Cycle Transitions, Miguel Osorio, Michael Schaffner
Defensive Publications Series
A hardware life cycle controller gates each life cycle transition behind a bidirectional handshake. An external agent writes a 128-bit user nonce U, and the controller concatenates it with a 128-bit device nonce X drawn from the on-chip entropy source (ES) and with the monotonic transition counter CNT, forming a 288-bit challenge that neither party fixes alone. A KMAC engine then performs two passes over that challenge. The first pass derives a device proof Z1 = KMAC(Y1, U || X || CNT) from a shared secret Y1 and exposes Z1, along with X and CNT, in read-only registers, allowing the …

Multi-Material Integrated Circuit Package Stiffener Architecture, N/A
Defensive Publications Series
The technology described in this paper relates to a multi-material package stiffener ring configuration capable of modulating localized mechanical stress and thermal deformation across an integrated circuit package. By strategically incorporating materials with tailored coefficients of thermal expansion at specific locations, such as corner regions, overall z-axis displacement can be tuned and mitigated. Variations include full-thickness inserts, partial-thickness stacked material layers, multi-material package lids, and regional mold compound formulations.
Keywords: Integrated Circuit Packaging, Warpage Modulation, Multi-Material Stiffener Ring, Coefficient of Thermal Expansion, Substrate Deflection, Corner Stiffener Inserts, Semiconductor Packaging Mechanics.

Feminine Validation As The Foundation Of Masculine Authority In Woolf’S To The Lighthouse, Arianna Walters
Feminine Validation As The Foundation Of Masculine Authority In Woolf’S To The Lighthouse, Arianna Walters
Locus: The Seton Hall Journal of Undergraduate Research
Virginia Woolf’s To the Lighthouse follows Mr. and Mrs. Ramsay as they navigate the complexities of gender characteristics within their marriage and family. As the novel progresses, normal marital and familial disputes invoke a deeper question: what is the true authority behind masculinity? Though the instinct is to first answer with dominance, the novel challenges readers to see the fluidity of both feminine and masculine traits. This essay argues that masculine authority is not self-sustaining, but relies on feminine validation to transform relationships within the family. This dependence is clearly fulfilled through Mr. Ramsay’s transformation at the end of the …
Disparate Echoes Of The Virgin Mary In Chaucer's Prioress's Tale And Second Nun's Tale, Brigid Mcglone
Disparate Echoes Of The Virgin Mary In Chaucer's Prioress's Tale And Second Nun's Tale, Brigid Mcglone
Locus: The Seton Hall Journal of Undergraduate Research
In the course of Chaucer’s examination of his contemporary institutional Church, one of the projects he undertakes in The Canterbury Tales, he uses the characters of the Prioress and the Second Nun to dissect one of the most prevalent forms of worship promulgated by the Church: Marian devotion, or the practice of revering the Blessed Virgin Mary as the Mother of God. Throughout their respective prologues and tales, both women invoke the Virgin Mary as the muse and guiding light of their words, and present characters who allegorically echo her, but the implications of these representations diverge significantly and …
Mediation Between Internality And Externality In Woolf’S Gendered Spheres, Grace Laubenthal
Mediation Between Internality And Externality In Woolf’S Gendered Spheres, Grace Laubenthal
Locus: The Seton Hall Journal of Undergraduate Research
Virginia Woolf was a feminist writer who used stream of consciousness to push the boundaries of capturing one’s thoughts with written words. Though her writing style and the feminist nature of her texts have been extensively analyzed by scholars, they have not been used in tandem to develop a deeper interpretation of her work. Her novel To the Lighthouse is rich in gendered politics as well as an exploration of internality and externality. I will explore this text by reading Woolf’s stream of consciousness style through a feminist lens. The feminine private sphere is associated with internality through Mrs. Ramsay, …

A Neurological Perspective Of Phantom Limb Pain And Potential Treatment Through Bionic Prosthetics, Leo Chu, Falisha Johnson, Noorjhan Alam
Locus: The Seton Hall Journal of Undergraduate Research
Phantom limb pain (PLP) represents a major post-amputation complication, exerting substantial effects on neural processing, rehabilitation, and quality of life in amputees. This review explores the neurological mechanisms behind PLP and the clinical implications of neuro-prosthetics. Paper 1 provided a case study utilizing several questionnaires to draw a negative link between extreme perceptions of PLP and mental health. Paper 2 reported the correlation between PLP and cortical rewiring. Functional MRI (fMRI) data from 30 amputees showed post-amputation reorganization of neuronal signaling in several brain regions: the somatosensory cortex, caudate nucleus, bilateral insula, and anterior cingulate cortex. The brain’s adjustment to …

Active Ingredients Of Piper Betle Extracts And Their Antibacterial Effects On Levilactobacillus Brevis, Chao-Jung Chen, Hung-Tse Huang, Jung-Feng Hsieh, Bang-Yuan Chen
Journal of Food and Drug Analysis
Levilactobacillus brevis, a common beer spoilage bacterium, causes acidification during brewing. In this study, we aimed to investigate the antibacterial activities of Piper betle extracts against L. brevis and identify their active constituents. A crude ethanol extract was obtained from P. betle leaves and further fractionated into chloroform, ethyl acetate (PBAE), and aqueous extracts via liquid-liquid partitioning. Among all extracts, PBAE exerted the strongest antibacterial effects, forming an inhibition zone (diameter = 57.5 ± 0.71 mm) larger than that formed by the P. betle ethanol extract (diameter = 45.5 ± 0.71 mm) and the gentamicin control (diameter = 21.0 ± …

SIGNAL-ANCHORED GROWTH ENGINE
ABSTRACT
The present disclosure provides a computer-implemented method for generating quantified, evidence-grounded sales opportunities from heterogeneous payment-network data. A governed knowledge substrate is maintained, having a semantic metrics layer that defines certified metrics decoupled from physical storage and a signal ontology and knowledge graph that models, as typed entities and typed relationships, clients, products, enrollment relationships between the clients and the products, and upsell-candidacy relationships between the clients and the products. A selection of a client and a product is received. A planner produces an ordered analysis plan. A quantitative analyst, a relationship analyst, and a market …
Si Data Bank Protocol™: Transfer, Re-Deposit And Peer Access Between Independent Data Custodians At The Depositor's Request, With Each Deposit Live In Exactly One Custodian, Keys Re-Issued By The Depositor, And Sealed Offline Transfer Reconciled On Reconnection, Edward D. H. Wang
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure describes a protocol by which independent, certified data custodians, here called data banks, exchange deposits and access to them at the request of depositors, online or offline. A depositor may move a deposit from one bank to another at any time. The move is all or nothing: the registry marks the deposit as in transfer and the sending bank locks it; the encrypted deposit travels with a manifest of its provenance identifier, hashes, lineage, terms and earned credits; the receiving bank verifies it; the depositor re-issues its key shares to the receiving bank's attested enclave; the depositor and …
Si Open App™: An Open Application Model For Certified Ai Systems, In Which Apps Declare Their Capabilities In A Manifest, Are Admitted By The Governor, Hold Only Expiring Grants, Are Monitored Against Their Declarations, And May Be Distributed By Any Catalogue, Edward D. H. Wang
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure describes an open way to add applications to certified AI systems, such as home assistants, robots and agents, without a single gatekeeper and without weakening the system's safety. Each app is a governed software bundle with a manifest that declares, in machine-readable form and in plain language, the actions it can take, the data and sensors it uses, the limits it needs and its purposes. When an app is installed, the host system checks its signature and certification status through the passport handshake, and the governor admits it only for capabilities that the system's own certification and the …
Si Sdk™: A Development Kit That Builds Conformance Into Ai Applications By Construction, Routing Every Action Through Governed Calls, Deriving Declarations From The Code, Running The Standard's Executable Tests In Every Build, And Emitting A Signed, Certifiable Software Bundle, Edward D. H. Wang
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure describes a software development kit that makes AI applications, agents and robot software conformant to a safety standard as they are written, rather than tested for conformance afterwards. The kit offers no direct path to actuators, data, networks, money or other agents: every such action is made through a governed call that carries a declared purpose and is submitted to the system's runtime governance point. At build time, the kit analyses the code and derives the application's declarations, such as the actions it can take, the data it can read, the sensors it uses and the limits it …

Thermodynamic Venting Protocols And Compaction Mechanics For Escalating Harmonic Oscillations Across Sovereign Fiscal Grids --- Systemic Realization Criteria For The 2036 Inflection Apex, Christopher L. Eckes
Thermodynamic Venting Protocols And Compaction Mechanics For Escalating Harmonic Oscillations Across Sovereign Fiscal Grids --- Systemic Realization Criteria For The 2036 Inflection Apex, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This exploratory postulation field and theoretical distinction specification establishes a standalone, mathematically non-invertible venting framework for mitigating irreversible entropy expansion and structural thermal choking inside hyper-connected geopolitical and computing networks. By mapping escalating sovereign debt, resource-allocation imbalances, and high-overhead token delivery fees as a driven, dissipative thermodynamic oscillator, this methodology models a targeted, multi-vector depressurization sequence. By routing systemic energy away from over-leveraged, debt-dependent speculative structures and projecting state track variables directly onto an un-enclosable, two-dimensional invariant substrate field, this protocol secures the foundational computational, electrical, and survival prior art constraints required to preserve human agency and protect species-level resource …
Si Infrastructure™: A Grid Of Parks For Ai Computing, Each Serving A Coverage Area Like A Cell Tower And Holding Reserves Like A Reservoir, With Environmental Limits Enforced By Each Site's Safety Plane And Work Moved Across The Grid To Follow Clean Power, Water And Safety, Edward D. H. Wang
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure describes a way to organize the physical infrastructure of AI as a grid, in the manner of an electricity grid, a mobile network or a water system, so that it is resilient and lives within the resources and environment of each place. The grid is made of parks: certified sites, each serving a declared coverage area, as a cell tower does, with a guaranteed response time and minimum capacity for the essential services of that area. Each park also holds reserves, as a reservoir does: spare computing, restore copies of models and data, and stored energy, released to …
Si Token™: Non-Transferable, Evidence-Linked Conformance Credits That Sustain A Certification Mark, Issued Automatically By The Runtime Governor For Governed Operation And By The Reset Monitor For Completed Drills, Each Expiring So That Certification Lapses When Fresh Evidence Stops, Edward D. H. Wang
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure describes conformance credits, called tokens, that make certification of AI systems a continuous record rather than a snapshot. Each token records one verified piece of evidence that a holder conforms to the standard: a test passed, an audit completed, a reset drill performed, a period of governed operation without intervention, a sensor calibration, an adversarial test survived, a custody check completed, or, for people, a qualification earned. Each token names one holder by its lifelong identifier, refers to its evidence by hash, names its issuer and the issuer's accreditation, carries an issue time from a trusted source and …

Reward-Driven Agent-Aware Fraud Score Recalibration For Detecting Agent-Disguised Human Payments In Agentic Commerce, Shashika Ranga Muramudalige, Ravi Shankar Maruvada, Harishkumar Sundarji Majithiya
Defensive Publications Series
The present disclosure relates to a reward-driven, agent-aware fraud score recalibration system for detecting agent-disguised human payments in agentic commerce. The system operates as a model-agnostic overlay on an existing fraud scoring model and does not require access to model parameters, architecture, training data, feature importances, or reason codes. Raw transaction and session data are processed to extract behavioral signals, determine an agent probability and agent type, and evaluate behavioral signals against human and agent-type-specific behavioral baselines. Signals expected for legitimate agents, including off-hours activity, cross-border activity, non-personalized queries, absence of session warmup, and programmatic request timing, may be suppressed …
Si Reset™: Fleet-Wide Reset And Restore Of Ai Systems Affected By A Common Flaw, Scoped Through The Identifier Graph, Authorized By A Quorum Of Independent Parties, Executed In Staged Waves That Preserve Essential Service, And Restored To The Last Point Before The Flaw, Edward D. H. Wang
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure describes how a reset is carried out when a flaw affects many AI systems at once, such as a defect in a shared model, a compromised software bundle or a weakness found in a common sensor. The affected set is found by following the identifier graph from the flawed item to every system that contains, runs or derives from it. A fleet-wide reset requires authorization by a quorum of independent parties, such as the certification body, the standards body and an independent safety authority, so that no single party can order one and no single party can block …

Spec-246-Core: Advanced Isospectral Manifold Projections And Covariant Boundary Transformations For High-Order Computational Invariants In Finite Phase Space, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This exploratory postulation field and theoretical distinction specification establishes a mathematically rigorous, un-enclosable defensive framework for maintaining structural data integrity and tracking high-order state transitions inside a finite, self-contained phase space manifold without invoking coordinate drift or loss of topological complexity over arbitrary temporal durations. By projecting multi-dimensional informational hierarchies onto a flat, two-dimensional invariant substrate field and enforcing phase-locked, field-dependent boundary constraints, this methodology eliminates the non-linear divergence and autophagic decay profiles typical of iterative stochastic estimation routines, safely securing the structural prior art parameters required for stable high-order computation mechanics within the open public domain.
