The Possibilities Of Constitutional Education, Mark Jia

Constitutional scholarship has traditionally focused on formal constitutional actors: courts, legislatures, and executives. These actors are often regarded as primary sources of constitutional law, or in some cases, as final arbiters of constitutional meaning. More peripheral in this literature are actors thought to transmit what courts and high officials have established. These constitutional educators, including law professors, legal journalists, and civics planners, are often overlooked for defensible reasons: They lack the normative authorities of formal institutional actors, and they do not exercise power as it is often understood in public law.

Rationale

The misuse of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming prevalent in academia, particularly among undergraduates. This situation could undermine the main objective of education at the university level, which is aimed at building future professionals for general development. This study examined the determinants of the abuse of artificial intelligence (AI) for academic purposes among Nigerian university undergraduates, with particular focus on federal universities in Southwestern Nigeria.

Analysis of the flint assemblage from the single-period Intermediate Bronze Age/Early Bronze Age IV site of Tel Iẓṭabba indicates the coexistence of locally produced ad hoc debitage and tools alongside Canaanean blade products, the latter apparently imported as finished implements from specialized production centers. The Canaanean blade component exhibits considerable variability in backing, truncation, edge modification, gloss distribution and dimensions. This diversity suggests the presence of several harvesting implements and hafting solutions, including large blades with proximal modification and oblique or curved truncations, interpreted as probable reaping knives. As a text, The Lord of the Rings is obsessed with the natural and the magical in the mundane. However, what is often neglected in Tolkien studies is the idea of the space in which the natural and the magical exist. Here, I present the theory of spatiomagus to help us understand space in fantasy literature. Building off the Deleuzoguattarian theory of smooth/striated space, spatiomagus asserts that space in fantasy texts is influenced physically and/or created virtually by the magical “light” and “dark.” This intersection of magic and space can create, destroy, and alter places via metaphysical means, and spatiomagus …

Christopher Tolkien’s 12-volume History of Middle-earth is a remarkable achievement, yet Christopher repeatedly acknowledged how difficult the material was to present in print form and that “that there was no really satisfactory solution”.  This paper contends that a printed book is not scholarship but just one way of presenting its results. It explores how digital philology can overcome some of the limitations of print, giving examples from the Digital Tolkien Project. It shows how structural markup, version alignment, parallel reading environments, and other approaches can make relationships between drafts and published texts clearer. This paper evaluates the effectiveness of a public policy intervention introduced by the Italian government to support the economic valorization of patents held by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Using original survey data collected in 2025, the analysis compares firms that benefited from the measure during the 2020-2021 calls with a control group of comparable non beneficiary firms. The study examines patenting behavior, strategies for patent valorization, perceived obstacles, and innovation-related outcomes beyond traditional financial indicators. The results show that the measure effectively increases patenting activity and supports technological maturation, particularly for smaller, younger, and more resource-constrained firms, without crowding …

Background In China, low-yield coalbed methane (CBM) wells represent a high proportion of approximately 57% (over 12400 wells), generally encountering challenges such as low pressure, dry reservoirs, and near-wellbore formation damage and blockage. Conventional hydraulic fracturing is prone to induce water blocking damage, while treatments such as acidification offer only limited blockage-removing radii. Therefore, existing techniques are insufficient to achieve blockage removal and permeability enhancement while avoiding reservoir damage. Metaphor, or istiʿāra in Arabic, is one of the most prevalent rhetorical devices used in Qur'anic discourse. The Qur'an employed metaphor to convey meanings not immediately apparent on the surface of the text, yet significant. Thus, translating these metaphors into English was extremely difficult due to linguistic and cultural differences. Three well-known English translations of the Qur'an by Ali, Pickthall, and Abdel-Haleem were examined in this study. However, Indonesia’s legal framework has not fully incorporated a rights-based approach that ensures sustainable livelihoods for affected populations. This article proposes the adoption of a comprehensive Resettlement and Rehabilitation (R&R) approach, with reference to India’s legislative model, that goes beyond relocation by ensuring proper resettlement and long-term livelihood rehabilitation. However, cheerleaders experience similar stressors to those of their athlete peers. The expansion of digital technologies has not only transformed media production and consumption but also reshaped the cognitive conditions through which individuals interpret information. Drawing on W. James Potter’s (2004) cognitive model of media literacy, this study explores how cognitive dimensions of media literacy relate to digital inequalities among adults. To operationalize the model, index variables were developed for its four subdimensions, knowledge structures, personal locus, competencies, and skills, using multiple theoretically defined item domains. GrandFamilies: The Contemporary Journal of Research, Practice and Policy

This ethnographic study explores the caregiving experiences of grandparents in northern Vietnam who are raising grandchildren impacted by HIV/AIDS. Specifically, what is the process of skipped-generation caregiving in families affected by HIV/AIDS in Vietnam? Data were collected between 2009 and 2011 through participant observation and in-depth interviews with 26 grandparent caregivers and eight key informants. Informed by the Caregiving Career framework as a sensitizing concept and using constructivist grounded theory analytic strategies, the study identifies four interconnected caregiving phases shaped by cultural expectations, stigma, and intergenerational disruption. The explosive growth of artificial intelligence workloads has triggered unprecedented data center construction, yet environmental assessment remains focused on operational energy efficiency. This paper introduces DC-WLC3O, a framework that simultaneously optimizes three objectives across the full data center lifecycle: whole-life cost, whole-life carbon, and material circularity index. The framework integrates cradle-to-cradle lifecycle assessment with dynamic material flow analysis, employing a four-layer analytical stack: Monte Carlo simulation with Latin Hypercube Sampling and Iman–Conover rank correlation; NSGA-III tri-objective Pareto optimization; Sobol’ variance-based global sensitivity analysis; and Many-Objective Robust Decision Making (MORDM).
