The National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), introduced in Zambia in 2019 to enhance healthcare financing and service delivery, still faces challenges impacting patient satisfaction. This study assesses and investigates the factors influencing patient satisfaction with NHIS-provided services at a third-level tertiary public hospital. The study was conducted at the outpatient department (OPD) of Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital (LMUTH) in Lusaka, Zambia, deliberately chosen as one of the largest publicly financed tertiary referral hospitals and among the first NHIS-accredited facilities. In the quest to improve patient experience and health outcomes, the impact of provider consultation generally earns serious consideration. This study recruited a richly diverse pool of participants to examine how patient demographics and psychographics during a telemedicine consultation simulation impact the perceptions of the provider that contribute to patient satisfaction. Further, this study relies on a between-subject experimental design to investigate how “provider” verbal and nonverbal communication and demographics in addition to patient demographics and psychographics impact patient perceptions and outcomes of the simulated telemedicine experience. In the present paper, we study the regularity of the endomorphism monoid of a class of graphs, which generalizes the cycle graph. We give a complete list of all end-regular r × s flower graphs. In particular, for an odd integer s ≥ 3, the s × s flower graph Cs,s has a regular endomorphism monoid, i.e., Cs,s is end-regular. For Cs,s, s ≥ 3 odd, we determine the cardinality and the rank of its endomorphism monoid (including a generating set of minimal size).

In this study, we introduce the concepts of rough category and rough groupoid by combining the concepts of category theory and groupoid with rough set theory. We present some properties and examples of these concepts, which are discussed for the first time. Additionally, by defining a rough functor among the rough categories, the category of rough categories were created. Moreover, rough groupoid homomorphism, rough action groupoid, and category of the rough groupoids have been examined algebraically and introduced to the literature.

The Effects Of Learning Environment Resources And Psycap On Student Burnout And Outcomes, Elisandra Rodriguez Moreno

This study examined links between learning environmental resources (i.e., social support and feedback environment), burnout, and student outcomes (i.e., satisfaction and academic performance) among 198 graduate healthcare students. The study also investigated whether Psychological Capital (PsyCap) moderated these relationships. Social support and feedback did not predict overall burnout, but both were significantly linked to the burnout dimensions, specifically: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and academic efficacy. PsyCap did not moderate most relationships, yet it was consistently associated with lower levels of burnout and higher satisfaction. One exception emerged—for social support and depersonalization, PsyCap served as a compensatory resource, where students with lower …

According to the modern tort theory, that dominates in the legal academy, deep pocket entities that profit from facilitating harmful activity must compensate those foreseeably injured by that activity. The rationale is that allowing enterprises to externalize the costs they impose on others encourages excessively risky behavior. Therefore, cost internalization must be mandated to achieve the twin goals of tort law: compensation of tort victims and deterrence of potentially harmful conduct.

This Comment critically examines the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) now–abandoned rule that sought to ban noncompete clauses in employment contracts, emphasizing the limitations of advice provided by attorneys, legal scholars, and experts who advocate for a “wait–and–see” approach during its development and subsequent litigation. Noncompetes, while serving as a tool for employers to safeguard proprietary interests and limit competition, also restrict employee mobility and bargaining power. The FTC’s proposed rule, which aimed to ban most noncompete clauses, faced immediate and substantial legal challenges under the major questions and nondelegation doctrines.

Older adults do not sleep as well as younger adults, with many older adults lacking an effective circadian rhythm. Hylocereus species are promising for enhancing fruit productivity in arid regions, but high solar radiation often leads to yield loss. This study aimed to evaluate the short-term impact of different shading levels on the physiological performance, productivity, and post-harvest quality of Hylocereus costaricensis under semi-arid conditions. Plants were grown in the field under two shade levels, i.e., 35 and 50% and their performances were compared to plants under control, i.e., 0% of shade or full sunlight. These BPGs were merged because of the overlapping clinical concepts. This article explores whether artificial intelligence (AI) constitutes an asset or rather a challenge in assessing the necessity and proportionality of a State’s response to an armed attack in the context of self-defense. Two central arguments are advanced. First, while AI may assist in detecting incoming threats of armed attacks, abstract and highly context-driven notions like necessity and proportionality would be very difficult to encode into algorithms. This article explores the application of Article 2(4) of the United Nations Charter to AI-enabled systems that carry out unintended engagements involving the use of force. First, it analyzes whether State responsibility for a breach of the prohibition on the use of force is defined in subjective or objective terms. Most commentators maintain that a State must intend to use force against the victim State in order for the prohibition to apply. Estrogen receptor α (ERα) variants with mutations in the ligand binding domain (LBD) are less sensitive than wild type to standard-of-care drugs that bind ERα directly. To identify novel small-molecule drugs that target ERα mutants, we screened our multibillion-compound DNA-encoded libraries against ERα LBD variants. CDD-1274, which was highly enriched with all three variants, blocked spontaneous coactivator peptide recruitment to mutant ERα LBDs and inhibited estradiol-driven proliferative markers in several ER-positive breast cancer cell lines, but not in ER-negative breast cancer cells. We demonstrated that CDD-1274 induced proteasomal degradation of ERα variants in breast cancer cell lines and caused Y537S …
