Executive Summary: Clinical Practice Guideline Guideline For Identifying Patients At Risk For Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (Ptsd), Doris Chinazo Dibia
Executive Summary: Clinical Practice Guideline Guideline For Identifying Patients At Risk For Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (Ptsd), Doris Chinazo Dibia
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
In this Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) project, I developed a clinical practice guideline to address the absence of a standardized process for identifying adult outpatients at risk for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in a community-based mental health clinic. Without such a process, delays in trauma-focused care and inconsistent referrals may occur. The evidence base supports the use of brief, validated screening tools, such as the Primary Care PTSD Screen for DSM-5, for accurate risk identification in routine practice. The practice-focused question that I used to guide this project was: Will an evidence-based guideline for PTSD risk identification be approved …

All Decisions
In this non-payment proceeding, the landlord's motion to restore the case and for a money judgment and warrant of eviction was denied. The court found that the landlord failed to provide a reasonable excuse for the significant delay of over 31 months in seeking restoration after the parties had previously settled the matter by stipulation. This period was well beyond the one-year statutory limit set by 22 NYCRR § 208.14(c). The court also considered the potential prejudice to the 71-year-old long-term rent-regulated tenant, noting that restoring the matter for judgment on years of unchallenged rent could be unfair.

Nanodiamonds (NDs), tetrahedral carbon structures with a size ranging from 1 to 100 nm, have gained growing attention in recent years due to their distinct optical, thermal, and mechanical properties compared to other carbon nanomaterials (e.g., graphene, carbon nanotubes, carbon dots). Combined with a high surface-to-volume ratio and tunable and chemically versatile surfaces, these support broad applications across catalysis, electronics, and life sciences. Moreover, the biocompatible characteristics of NDs enable their controllable interfacial interactions with biological systems, positioning them as excellent candidates for advancing cutting-edge biomedical sciences, particularly through the engineering of efficient material biointerfaces that facilitate optimal interactions with …

On Heat Engines Having Efficiencies That Degrade With Every Cycle That Are Nonetheless Reversible: The Wonders Of Hilbert Curves In The Pressure-Volume Plane, Daniel Graham
Chemistry: Faculty Publications and Other Works
Heat engines are cornerstones in classical thermodynamics, not to mention fixtures of everyday life. As everyone knows, real heat engines are rife with sources of irreversibility, and, in turn, have efficiencies that degrade over time. Here we chart a classical heat engine whose efficiency degrades with every cycle, but maintains perfect reversibility nonetheless. There are no paradoxes in play due to the inviolability of the thermodynamic laws. Rather the engine operates transparently according to Hilbert curves that fill the pressure-volume plane. The assembly of the curves is iterative and digital whereby no information is lost over every cycle.
Reckoning With Antisemitism In History And Tradition, Nathaniel Shaw Hay, Isaac Barnes May
Reckoning With Antisemitism In History And Tradition, Nathaniel Shaw Hay, Isaac Barnes May
Pepperdine Law Review
“History and tradition” has become a watchword of modern constitutional interpretation, shaping Supreme Court jurisprudence and framing ongoing debates over the meaning of the Fourteenth Amendment. Yet this interpretive framework remains under-theorized in one critical respect: how should it grapple with the prejudices embedded in the very traditions it invokes? This Article examines that question through the lens of anti-Jewish discrimination in Anglo-American law, using this history as a case study to examine both the perils and promise of relying on history as a source of constitutional authority. For centuries, the common law excluded Jews from full civic participation in …

Computer Organization With Arm64, Seth D. Bergmann
OER Textbooks
This book is intended to be used for a first course in computer organization, or computer architecture. It assumes that all digital components can be constructed from fundamental logic gates.
The book begins with number representation schemes and assembly language for the ARM-64 architecture, including assembler directives and floating point instructions. It then describes the machine language instruction formats, and shows the student how to translate an assembly language program to machine language.
There is then an introduction to boolean algebra and digital logic, followed by a description of the memory hierarchy, including cache memory, RAM, and virtual memory.

Military Manpower Policy And Women’S Labor Market Outcomes, Amy Burnett Cross
Military Manpower Policy And Women’S Labor Market Outcomes, Amy Burnett Cross
Dissertation Awards
This dissertation examines how U.S. military manpower policy, when used to alleviate recruitment shortfalls, has shaped women’s participation in the civilian labor market. Across two chapters, I study military policy changes during periods of high demand for active duty service members to evaluate their impact on women’s labor force participation and entry into male-dominated occupations.
Beyond Unemployment: An Investigation Of Social Policies To Empower Workers In A Changing World Of Work, Lukas Lehner
Beyond Unemployment: An Investigation Of Social Policies To Empower Workers In A Changing World Of Work, Lukas Lehner
Dissertation Awards
This dissertation analyzes social policies aimed at supporting unemployed workers, scrutinizing consequences of such policies on facilitating access to training, employment, and in improving wages, health, and well-being amidst a changing world of work. Central to the research are two field experiments at scale (chapters 2 and 3), designed in collaboration with implementation partners, uniquely leveraging high-quality administrative records and extensive survey data collected over three years. Chapter two tests the idea of guaranteed employment in a natural context by carefully evaluating a job guarantee scheme, which highlights the psychosocial value of employment. Social programs of this kind often suffer …

Sharks In The East Okeechobee Area, Austin M. Sanders
Sharks In The East Okeechobee Area, Austin M. Sanders
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
The East Okeechobee Region in Southeast Florida lacks a comprehensive regional study of sharks and shark remains found in archaeological contexts. Previous studies in the region have compared materials to those of other large regional centers outside the East Okeechobee Area. This study examined materials collected from previous excavations at four sites from coastal Palm Beach County to add to the understanding of the ways sharks were utilized in the past. Shark species found at all four sites indicate that the people of the region targeted sharks as a resource for tool or decoration production. Examination of Shark teeth and …

Nevada Supreme Court Summaries
Because the photo array process used to identify the defendant was not unnecessarily suggestive, and there were no other reversible errors in his trial, Camacho's conviction is affirmed.
