This article offers a reinterpretation of the Kutika manuscript from a Buginese ethnoecological perspective. Departing from a philological study of the Lontara’ Kutika text in the National Library of Indonesia (PNRI) collection (code VT 129), this research examines how Buginese communities articulate their interaction with nature through this manuscript. The Kutika text has generally been understood merely as a book of time calculation, yet its background is imbued with philosophical values that show how the Buginese talk to nature, read signs, and treat nature as an equal element rather than a mere object. This study examines the media presentation of Bali on the Rednote platform, and explores how content creators can build Bali into an idealized tropical lifestyle space. The research selects four videos related to Bali produced by Rednote content creator Bi Lu Si Bruce (Hong Kong House Tour Original as the object of analysis, and uses qualitative research methods combined with semiotic analysis to investigate Cultural symbols conveyed in video visual images and language narratives. This study examines how the Instagram account @tamansarimelawan plays a significant role in preserving collective memory and the identity of marginalized groups through digital archives. In the context of the Taman Sari urban village community, which resisted land eviction for the construction of row houses in Bandung, this research explores how Instagram as a social media platform contributes to the formation and maintenance of collective memory and community identity. Phnom Penh was once known as the “Paris of the East,” serving as a major urban center in Indochina during the French colonial period. Colonial authorities shaped the city through functional zoning, planned street networks, and European-style architecture, all of which reflected hierarchies of power embedded in urban space. Despite the extensive destruction caused by the Khmer Rouge regime and subsequent postwar reconstruction, traces of colonial urban planning and architectural heritage remain clearly visible in the contemporary development of Phnom Penh. Drawing from the philosophical legacy of Soekarno, Indonesia’s founding president, the research situates gotong royong not merely as a traditional value, but as a dynamic political principle grounded in tolerance, solidarity, and social justice. This study traces the semantic transformation of the lexicon ukhti within Indonesia’s digital landscape. The term ukhti ( أُ خْ تِي ), derived from Arabic and meaning “my sister,” was initially used as a form of biological kinship address, later evolving into a fictional kinship address. However, in its current usage, the term increasingly conveys exclusivity and produces stereotypical perceptions of Muslim women. The court dismissed the petition based on the tenant's pre-answer motion, finding the landlord lacked capacity to sue due to its failure to comply with LLC Law § 206 publication requirements. Although the landlord claimed to be curing the defect, it had not fully done so and made a material error by trying to comply through the Attorney General's Office instead of the Department of State. The present disclosure relates to distributed container orchestration and, more particularly, to a First-In-First-Out (FIFO) on-demand queuing container lifecycle orchestration system for executing heavy workloads. The disclosed system receives on-demand workload requests and queues the requests based on submission time for processing by a distributed worker pool. Each worker node is restricted to executing a single workload at a time and acquires execution locks to prevent concurrent container execution conflicts. Upon selection, a worker node dynamically creates a container to execute the workload, records execution results and operational logs, and destroys the container upon completion to release computational resources. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), a genetically distinct strain of S. aureus, poses a significant health problem in humans and animals. MRSA is responsible for various difficult-to-treat illnesses in humans and animals. The loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) experiment was performed using four unique primers developed for six distinct mecA and femA gene sequences. The LAMP test was completed in 45 minutes at 62.5°C and visualized by gel electrophoresis. Moreover, the LAMP test has better sensitivity than conventional PCR, detecting genomic DNA at 64.8 pg/μL, which is hundreds of times more sensitive than conventional PCR.  The LAMP test is an …

Defective Viral Genomes (DVGs), which are viral genomes that are defective in some way, are naturally occurring byproducts of viral replication in numerous RNA viruses, notably Orthomyxoviridae (Influenza virus), Filoviridae (Ebola and dengue), and Paramyxoviridae (Respiratory Syncytial). They have three well-defined functions: interference with regular virus replication, immunostimulation, and virus persistence. DVGs are defective viral genomes that can hijack the replication cycle of wild-type viruses, leading to partial or complete suppression of viral populations. A "Simple" Second Look: The Argument For Mandatory Judicial Recusal In Pennsylvania Post Conviction Hearings, Taylor Banks

The Due Process Clause guarantees criminal defendants an impartial adjudicator, yet post-conviction proceedings often escape meaningful judicial recusal. In Pennsylvania, the same judge who presided over a criminal trial commonly adjudicates that defendant’s post-conviction review, even when prior rulings are challenged. This Article argues that such self-review creates an objectively intolerable risk of bias, undermining due process and public confidence in the judiciary. Drawing on Supreme Court precedent and psychological research on confirmation bias, the Article demonstrates that existing recusal standards fail to address structural risks in post-conviction adjudication. The Finance And Economics Women's Network (Few): Encouraging And Engaging Women In Undergraduate Programs

Journal of Economics and Finance Education

We describe a novel intercollegiate resource for engaging more undergraduate women in finance and economics programs. In response to the gender gap in undergraduate studies, we developed the Finance and Economics Women's Network (FEW) to support women majoring in finance and economics through FEW clubs. These clubs provide professional skill development and visibility for women in these professions through speaker events. Students run FEW clubs, and faculty advisors and community professionals support them. We also conducted a descriptive survey of students and report the responses. Finally, we provide a constitution template to facilitate the creation of FEW clubs.

Extraordinary Or Excessive? Rethinking Nonretroactive Changes In Decisional Law As Grounds For Compassionate Release, Anna Zumbar

Federal courts are deeply divided on whether nonretroactive changes in decisional law affecting sentencing are an “extraordinary and compelling reason” for compassionate release under 18 U.S.C. § 3582(c)(1)(A), The First, Second, Fourth, and Tenth Circuits recognize district courts’ broad discretion to weigh such changes, emphasizing that broad judicial discretion supports consideration of any relevant factors. In contrast, the Sixth, Seventh, Eights, and D.C. Circuits exclude nonretroactive changes in decisional law from consideration, confining “extraordinary and compelling reasons” to narrower circumstances. This circuit split has produced inconsistent outcomes, with similarly situated defendants subject to disparate treatment based solely on geography. The …

Constitutional commentary on the dormant Commerce Clause (DCC) reflects the Court’s persistent failure to appreciate how the clause’s contemporary application is problematic.  The 2023 Pork Producers case was a propitious opportunity for the Court to resolve lingering issues, such as whether the DCC ought to include an inquiry into whether a subnational regulation produces impermissible extraterritorial effects, or whether the Pike v. Bruce Church balancing test remains an apt function for the judiciary.  The Court squandered that opportunity, unfortunately.  And this article examines how that transpired.  It explores how product bans, such as the one adopted by California for humane …
