Business leaders in non-emergency medical transportation organizations are particularly affected by this issue due to its impact on operational sustainability. Grounded in change management and innovation theories, this qualitative pragmatic inquiry explores strategies managers use to mitigate service underutilization and increase profitability. A lack of effective strategies for managing software technical debt (TD) can negatively affect organizational performance. Software leaders are concerned that unmanaged TD threatens business growth and competitiveness. Dollar stores are the fastest growing food retail format and are highly concentrated in rural, low-income communities including West Virginia, where diabetes and obesity prevalence rank among the highest in the United States. Although these retailers increase physical access to food, concerns remain about their limited healthier food options and potential contribution to chronic disease disparities. Bedhaya is a traditional Javanese court dance that embodies ethical, aesthetic, and sacred values. Following Indonesia’s independence, restrictions on its performance gradually eased, allowing the dance to be presented beyond the court and fostering its development within arts education. This shift generated a dialectic between cultural preservation and creative innovation, exemplified by Bedhaya Saptongkara, which integrates Balinese dance elements into the Javanese framework to produce an innovative form. This study examines the subtitling strategies used in translating Korean terms of address into Indonesian, with a focus on how sociocultural meanings embedded in Korean address systems are conveyed in the target language. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the study analyses a corpus of dialogue excerpts taken from two Korean drama series. The findings identify seven categories of address terms: proper names, occupational titles, kinship terms, common nouns, attention-getters, pronouns, and child name-derived forms. Proper names are the most frequent category, followed by occupational titles, kinship terms, common nouns, and attention-getters, whereas pronouns and child name-based forms occur less frequently. …

This article analyses the cultural connectivity between India and Java from the first century to the tenth century CE. The primary method employed is chronological synchronisation, namely the alignment of political events in India with the emergence and development of kingdoms in Java, combined with a multidisciplinary approach drawing on epigraphic, archaeological, and historical data. The fourth and fifth-century migrations of “barbarian” peoples from beyond the Roman frontier to the heart of the Empire exacerbated an already unparalleled crisis of self in Roman society. With the settlement of these “barbarians” in the West, the facade of Roman dominion over its own territory and institutions had crumbled. Lingering space appears incompatible with the cinematic. It neither advances nor transforms, resisting narrative progression and formal resolution. This paper, however, argues that the space that lingers constitutes a distinct cinematic condition within architecture. Challenging the assumption that animation depends on movement, the study examines how suspended, non-assembled spatial configurations sustain structural adjacency without consolidating into enclosure. Drawing on the concept of counterpublics – that is, parallel discursive arenas where marginalized groups circulate counter discourses and voice their interests – it explores how users negotiate access to the digital public sphere and oppose dominant narratives. This article explores “the commoning of critical labour knowledge“ – the co-sharing of resources to produce, circulate, and practice forms of knowledge generated with, by, and for workers, in opposition to dominant managerial and/or state technocratic frameworks – including through the use of digital media. Drawing on an auto-ethnographic reflection of a collaborative praxis between a university-based research centre and a labour knowledge hub, both based in Indonesia, we argue that this practice is imbued with internal contradictions. The ventral tegmental area (VTA) is a central hub in reward and motivation, integrating heterogeneous neuronal populations and projection-defined circuits to regulate learning, decision-making, and addiction. This review synthesizes anatomical organization and cellular diversity (dopaminergic, GABAergic, and glutamatergic neurons, including multitransmitter co-release), and maps major efferent pathways constituting the mesolimbic and mesocortical systems. We highlight computational roles of VTA activity, including reward prediction errors, incentive salience, and context memory integration, and summarize drug class-specific mechanisms that perturb VTA output. We then outline time-dependent neuroadaptations across mesocorticolimbic networks and discuss therapeutic implications spanning pharmacological, behavioral, and emerging circuit-targeted interventions. Objective: To explore the correlation between diversity of the gut microbiota and key markers of inflammation and intestinal mucosal injury in pediatric febrile seizures (FS).

Methods: This study compared 15 FS children (FS group) and 15 healthy individuals (normal control group). The participants underwent 16S rDNA sequencing to analyze gut microbiota profiles. ELISA was employed to measure peripheral blood concentrations of the pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF-α and IL-6, as well as intestinal mucosal injury indicators such as endotoxin (BT), D-lactate (D-Lac), and diamine oxidase (DAO). Objective: To explore current practices and barriers in pediatric neuro-oncology care coordination, and to identify opportunities to optimize care pathways. Timely coordination between pediatric neurosurgery and oncology is critical for optimal outcomes in children with central nervous system (CNS) tumors. However, in many centers, pediatric oncologists are not involved until after surgery, which contributes to treatment delays and repeated procedures. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among neurosurgeons and pediatric oncologists in Saudi Arabia. Objective: To explore the prognostic factors of multiple glioblastomas (M-GBMs) and the role of bevacizumab (BEV) in M-GBMs. Methods: 162 patients treated for primary glioblastoma (GBM) from 2020 to 2024 were retrospectively reviewed. Kaplan–Meier analysis was performed to compare progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) between the single glioblastoma (S-GBM) group and the M-GBMs group. Independent predictors of OS among M-GBMs patients were evaluated via multivariable Cox regression analysis. Results: 116 patients had S-GBM, and 46 had M-GBMs. Compared with S-GBM patients, M-GBMs patients had poorer PFS (6.5 vs. 11 months, p<0.001) and OS (15.5 vs. 21 months, p=0.005). In the M-GBMs group, based on the RANO resection criteria, both univariable analysis and multivariable Cox models confirmed that the extent of resection, use of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, p53 overexpression, and use of BEV were all factors that significantly influenced OS. Specifically, the use of BEV prolonged OS from 12 months to 19.5 months (p = 0.017). From the initiation of BEV therapy, the median PFS was 5.5 months (95% CI 4.45–6.56 months), and the median survival was significantly longer than in those who did not received BEV (10 vs. 3 months, p = 0.021).
