Dandy-Walker Malformation And Optic Nerve Hypoplasia: A Developmental Case Highlighting The Psychiatric Impact Of Central Nervous System Malformation, Sumeet Bhardwaj, Aayush Kapoor, Yuan Xie, Ali Thahab, Affan Naveed, Omer Khan, Thinh D. Mai
Student Publications
Dandy-Walker malformation (DWM) and optic nerve hypoplasia (ONH) are rare congenital anomalies associated with neuropsychiatric morbidity, but their co-occurrence in adults has not been described. We present an adult patient with both DWM and unilateral ONH who developed auditory hypersensitivity, visual agnosia, phonological dyslexia, dysgraphia, and longstanding academic challenges, later evolving into recurrent depression, anxiety, and insomnia. Neuroimaging revealed a Dandy-Walker variant with cerebellar atrophy and ONH, and her presentation was consistent with cerebellar cognitive affective syndrome. Notably, despite the established risk of autism spectrum-like traits in both DWM and ONH, she did not demonstrate autistic features. This case highlights …

Factors Influencing Employee Green Behavior And Employee Green Attitude Among Muslims In Indonesia, Kurnia Sari Kasmiarno, Mahjus Ekananda, Gina Destrianti Karmanto
Journal of Environmental Science and Sustainable Development
In a Muslim majority, developing country like Indonesia, religion shapes employees’ work ethic and professional behavior, embedding spiritual and cultural values into the workplace. Despite the increasing attention to pro-environmental behavior, previous studies have largely examined Green Human Resource Management (GHRM), religiosity, and environmental concern separately, often focusing on a single sector. This leaves employees from various occupational backgrounds underexplored. This study aims to examine the effects of Green Concern (GC), Green Motivation (M), GHRM, and Religiosity (REL) on Employee Green Behavior (EGB) and Employee Green Attitude (EGA) of Muslim employees in Indonesia. Data were collected through a quantitative survey …

Green Human Resource Management, Employee Behavior, And Organizational Innovation: A Multi-Theoretic Pathway To Sustainable Competitiveness, Iwan Perwira, Hernita Hernita, Suardi Suardi, Andi Tenry Sose, Muhammad Azizurrohman
Journal of Environmental Science and Sustainable Development
As sustainability imperatives reshape global tourism, this study investigates how Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) practices can serve as strategic levers for driving sustainability performance and competitive advantage within Indonesia’s tourism sector. Amid rising environmental expectations and regulatory mandates, the research integrates Social Learning Theory, the Resource-Based View, and Institutional Theory to construct and test a model that links top management support, green organizational culture, and regulatory pressure to GHRM adoption. Using a cross-sectional survey of 510 employees and managers across eco-certified tourism firms in five Indonesian destinations, the study employed Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze …
Comparing Massed And Distributed Course Formats: Effects On Outcomes In A Graduate Augmentative And Alternative Communication Course, Brandon Scott Eddy, Alli Sauerwein, Leah Meloy, Eric Sanders
Comparing Massed And Distributed Course Formats: Effects On Outcomes In A Graduate Augmentative And Alternative Communication Course, Brandon Scott Eddy, Alli Sauerwein, Leah Meloy, Eric Sanders
Teaching and Learning in Communication Sciences & Disorders
The effects of massed versus distributed learning have been well studied in the verbal and motor learning literature, with findings suggesting enhanced outcomes from distributing learning over time. However, some studies have found limited evidence to support enhanced outcomes from distributed learning when applied to an entire academic course. The effects of course scheduling on student learning in speech-language pathology graduate coursework have received limited attention. This study compared learning outcomes between a one-week massed format and an eight-week distributed format in an online two-credit augmentative and alternative communication graduate-level course. Learning outcomes were assessed before students enrolled, immediately after …

Teaching and Learning in Communication Sciences & Disorders
Purpose: Although practicing school-based speech-language pathologists (SLPs) report that most of their training in language sample analysis (LSA) comes during their educational program, SLP students’ experiences with LSA in their training program have not been investigated. The purpose of this study was to gather information on the LSA use, methods, and contexts in addition to perceived knowledge and skills of speech-language pathology undergraduate and graduate students.
Method: Undergraduate and graduate students studying speech-language pathology responded to an invitation to complete an online survey related to LSA knowledge and experiences.
Results: Results indicated that most students gain experience with LSA …
Hermeneutical Priming And Linguistic Hijacking In The God’S Not Dead Series, Brant Entrekin
Hermeneutical Priming And Linguistic Hijacking In The God’S Not Dead Series, Brant Entrekin
Journal of Religion & Film
In this paper, I analyze the evangelical Christian film series God's Not Dead. I argue that the film series functions as Christian Nationalist propaganda through its rhetoric and aesthetic choices. I then develop two forms of epistemic manipulation that the film uses to fulfill its propagandistic function: hermeneutical priming and linguistic hijacking. I suggest that the film series' use of these rhetorical strategies highlights some of the ways that evangelical Christian cinema is engaging with rising right-wing political movements and developing unique evangelical imaginations.

The Effect Of National Brand Failure On Micro-National Image And Attitudes Toward Other Brands: The Moderating Role Of Ethnocentrism, Lingge Jia, Seong Do Cho
Asia Marketing Journal
This study examines the effect of failures by prominent Korean brands on Korea’s micro-level national image and other Korean brands among Chinese consumers, focusing on technological capability and design dimensions, and the moderating role of consumer ethnocentrism. Data was collected through surveys that presented scenarios of varying degrees of brand failures and analyzed using AMOS and Hayes Process Macro. Results reveal that typical brand failures negatively affect perceptions of Korea’s micro-national image, particularly in terms of technology capability and design. Additionally, higher levels of ethnocentrism amplify the negative effect of brand failures on the design dimensions of Korea’s image. However, …

Liturgical Aesthetics: A Case For Beauty In The Church, Charlotte Ostric
Liturgical Aesthetics: A Case For Beauty In The Church, Charlotte Ostric
Philosophy Student Projects
This paper is intended to challenge the contemporary church in America to consider the ways it can reflect beauty in liturgical practices and the importance of beauty in an ecclesial setting. It dispels notions such as "aesthetic autonomy" and offers a method of "fittingness" for churches and ecclesial settings to inform their own liturgical practices.
Theopathic Analogy: A Canonical-Theological Approach To God’S Emotions, Hunter Tabor
Theopathic Analogy: A Canonical-Theological Approach To God’S Emotions, Hunter Tabor
Philosophy Student Projects
The philosophical and theological problem of divine impassibility has received much attention in recent years. One way of articulating this problem in Christian theology is this: can one truthfully ascribe emotions to God? This paper responds in the affirmative. After explaining the problem of anthropomorphism leveled against religious language, I argue that analogy best accounts for human speech about God and effectively responds to this critique. Second, I outline a canonical-inductive approach to the Bible that takes seriously the unity of God’s self-disclosure. From these commitments, I argue that God’s emotions are not anthropopathic—“bottom-up” human projections. Instead, human emotions are …

Reading is an essential function for everything people learn. The main goal of reading is for readers to interpret, comprehend, and receive meaning from the text. Academic reading differs from standard reading. It is a complex form implemented throughout all subjects in higher educational institutions. Academic reading involves a detailed and critical approach, whereas standard reading is casual and typically involves briefly skimming over information. Students entering college are often unprepared to comprehend the complicated reading materials and manage the heavy reading load required for their class assignments. To be successful in college, students must understand different terminology and styles …

This article examines the interplay between consumer protection law and competition law in addressing unfair commercial practices of e-commerce platforms. The large-scale deployment of unfair commercial practices by e-commerce platforms may result in anti-competitive effects, thereby undermining fair and effective market competition. …
The Changing Roles Of Women In Amazigh Heritage Preservation In Agadir, Madeleine Hunt
The Changing Roles Of Women In Amazigh Heritage Preservation In Agadir, Madeleine Hunt
Morocco: Human Rights, Social Justice, and Cultural Transformation
Amazigh culture in Morocco has frequently been conceptualized as a rural phenomenon due to the repression of “Amazighness” in urban settings. However, Agadir, a Southern city boasting a rich Amazigh cultural life where public symbols of Indigenous identity flourish, offers a challenge to this dichotomy. This is especially true following the King’s recognition of Amazigh national heritage, the establishment of the Royal Institute of Amazigh Culture, and the officialization of the Tamazight language, recent changes which have increasingly propelled Amazigh culture into the public and urban spheres. While past scholarship has emphasized the role of rural women as guardians of …
Original Public Meaning And The Rule Of Recognition, Andrew Jensen Kerr
Original Public Meaning And The Rule Of Recognition, Andrew Jensen Kerr
William & Mary Bill of Rights Journal
Framer intent no longer possesses the same cachet it once held. But Framer influence still matters for public meaning originalism, particularly for communications like The Federalist Papers, in which Alexander Hamilton, John Jay, and James Madison marketed the work of the Philadelphia Constitutional Convention to state ratifying conventions and the constituencies they represented. Contemporary originalists posit that what the Constitution meant to this public audience at the time of ratification is cemented in time forever (the fixation thesis). The starting point for my analysis is the prosaic observation that our Framers occasionally changed their minds about the meaning of …

"Fixing" The Classical Legal Tradition, Jamie G. Mcwilliam
"Fixing" The Classical Legal Tradition, Jamie G. Mcwilliam
Denver Law Review
A “moral turn” in jurisprudence—in which scholars and judges are making overt appeals to the classical legal tradition and its natural law principles—has been gaining steam. Originalism, with its focus on posited law, is increasingly viewed as a morally empty jurisprudence. But positive law is a necessary, though not sufficient, component of the classical tradition, providing the means for a society to advance the common good. With that in mind, this Article explains how certain core originalist theses provide a deeper understanding of the mechanics of how positive law fulfills its moral role. It, therefore, argues that these concepts should …
Many Stories, One Shape: Narrative Convergence In Ai-Generated Fiction, Marisol Hernandez Brito
Many Stories, One Shape: Narrative Convergence In Ai-Generated Fiction, Marisol Hernandez Brito
IPHS 484: Senior Seminar
Frontier large language models (LLMs) generate fluent outlines but often converge on repetitive structural templates. This exploratory study examined inter-model diversity in thriller novel outlines produced by five LLMs (ChatGPT-5(5.1), Grok-4, Gemini-2.5 Flash, DeepSeek-v3, Claude Sonnet-4.5) under baseline and enhanced prompting conditions (N=50 outlines). Blind AI evaluations revealed moderate inter-model diversity (baseline mean 64.45%; enhanced 58.89%), declining relative to intra-model baselines and between phases, particularly in Protagonist and Plot dimensions. Quantitative and qualitative analysis identified phase-specific convergence: a "forensic procedural" template (analytical female protagonists, corporate conspiracies, Quest/Monster arcs) under the baseline prompt, shifting to a "domestic psychological thriller" template (uniform …

Cultural Diagnosis And The Monsters Of Victorian England, Victoria Elizabeth Kuykendall
Cultural Diagnosis And The Monsters Of Victorian England, Victoria Elizabeth Kuykendall
Theses and Dissertations
This dissertation examines the representation of invisible disability and neurodivergence in nineteenth-century British literature, arguing that literary texts both reflect and shape cultural understandings of disability. While much scholarship has focused on visible or physical impairments in Victorian fiction, comparatively little attention has been given to characters whose behaviors, emotions, or identities align with what today might be described as neurodivergence.
Drawing on Disability Studies, Mad Studies, and cultural theory, I propose the concept of cultural Diagnosis as a framework for analyzing how fictional characters become “Diagnosable” within both their historical and contemporary cultural contexts. Through close readings of Arthur …

Theses and Dissertations
This study investigated the effect of dual tasking on speech motor learning. Forty young adult participants (20 male, 20 female) practiced speaking nonsense words containing non-English consonant clusters. Half of the participants practiced the words while also completing a shape identification task. After practice, the two groups produced the words in a retention task both with and without the shape identification task. They returned the next day to produce the words again with and without the shape identification task. Acoustic analysis of the consonant cluster and word duration was used as an index of motor learning. Statistical analysis revealed that …
Creativity In Large Language Models, Robert Kenneth Morain
Creativity In Large Language Models, Robert Kenneth Morain
Theses and Dissertations
As artificial intelligence systems approach human-level performance across a wide variety of domains, creative domains remain a critical yet underexplored area of research. Unlike traditional AI tasks with well-defined objectives, creative tasks rely on inherently subjective measures, making them particularly challenging for machines that lack human experiential context. This dissertation establishes the fundamental importance of creativity in AI systems and presents methods for improving and evaluating the creative capabilities of LLMs on the pathway toward AGI. This work addresses and examines key limitations in current LLM creativity through model innovations, development frameworks, and comparative studies. The dissertation develops novel architectural …
