The Position Of The Female Secretary In The United States From 1900 Through 1967: An Historical Study, Elizabeth Shaughnessy Oelrich

Theses and Dissertations

The problem was to trace the development of the position of the female secretary in business in the United States from 1900 to 1967. The paper was divided into five sections; namely, origins of the secretarial position; the secretarial position, 1900-1920; the secretarial position, 1920-1940; the secretarial position, 1940-1967; and secretarial specialties.

The History Of The Sabbath In Mormonism, Russel J. Thomsen

Loma Linda University Electronic Theses, Dissertations & Projects

This study is a historical approach to the doctrine of the Sabbath in Mormonism. As such it is concerned with the first day Sabbath which has been observed with rare exception since the founding of Mormonism. The study also investigates the interest which has existed throughout the history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the seventh day Sabbath. It is found that the Latter-day Saints' interest in the seventh day Sabbath has had significant influence in their development of a Sabbath theology, and in finding defenses for their observance of the first day of the week, …

Tribute To John W. Behnken: Ministry In The Acceptable Time, Alfred O. Fuerbringer May 1968

Tribute To John W. Behnken: Ministry In The Acceptable Time, Alfred O. Fuerbringer

Concordia Theological Monthly

In our worship this morning two lines of thought converge. In the first place, it's the beginning of a new academic quarter, the last of this year. That raises questions: How are we doing? Are we reasonably close to schedule? Are we able for another three months to take the mounting pressures and to finish our courses? If we are concerned about the long-range and not just about today or tomorrow, next week or next May, what about our ministry?
