Advances in Cancer Education and Quality Improvement
Objective: Patient-reported outcomes (PROs) contain valuable information that can be leveraged by providers to perform timely interventions and improve quality of life and survival. However, the implementation of electronic PROs (ePROs) remains a challenge from technical and evaluation perspectives. Our objective was to construct a robust electronic health record (EHR)-integrated ePRO information infrastructure founded on RE-AIM (reach-effectiveness-adoption-implementation-maintenance) principles.
Materials and Methods: We used Epic Systems as our EHR platform to build the MD Anderson Symptom Index Head and Neck Module (MDASI-HN) for release to all patients undergoing evaluation and/or treatment in our HN Radiation Oncology clinics. RE-AIM metrics were …

The Russian military invasion of Ukraine surprisingly impacted the world's geopolitical situation. The conflict that started at the end of February is ongoing and potentially disrupts economic and trade performance in the global sector, including Indonesia. The battle has the opportunity to increase some food commodity prices, thus hampering the total imports carried out. In addition, other leading commodities (non-oil and gas) such as gold, oil, and coal will also experience significant turmoil due to the conflict that has continued to heat up recently. The study provides an overview of the systemic impact on Indonesia's economic conditions by predicting the …

This research explores the role of inequality because inequality has long-term effects on social and economic conditions and has an impact on the decentralization process. There are two models developed in which inequality is the regressor of regional income and inequality is the regressor. The panel seemingly unrelated regression is applied to produce consistent coefficient parameters. The results of research on model 1 show that inequality has a negative effect on regional income and on model 2 shows that fiscal decentralization with government spending has a positive effect on inequality and special allocation funds have a negative effect on inequality. …

Combined Power, Temperature, And Humidity Cycle Testing For Battery Reliability Assessment, Sandhya Chandrashekhar
Defensive Publications Series
Some battery reliability assessments may utilize separate, isolated tests for thermal, electrical, and environmental stress. These approaches may not fully capture complex failure modes that can arise from combined effects in certain operating conditions. A methodology is described for power temperature humidity cycling (PTHC) testing. The method can involve simultaneously subjecting a battery (which may be part of a device such as a smartphone, smart watch, or other wearable) to continuous and potentially asynchronous cycles of power (e.g., charge/discharge), temperature (for example, from -20°C to 60°C), and relative humidity (for example, from 10% to 90%). By combining these stressors, which …

After the US Supreme Court eliminated the federal constitutional right to abortion in 2022, several high-profile legal fights have centered on US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) oversight of mifepristone. Mifepristone (200 mg) is approved, in a regimen with misoprostol, for the medical termination of intrauterine pregnancy through 70 days' gestation. Legal battles over Mifepristone have included a lawsuit challenging the FDA’s initial approval of the drug and the sufficiency of FDA-required restrictions on the drug, as well as lawsuits arguing, to the contrary, that FDA-required restrictions are unnecessary and must be eliminated.

Journal of China & Foreign Highway
With the increasingly complex operating conditions of roads, it has become a consensus among countries to improve the accuracy and systematicness of maintenance decisions. Since the pavement condition evaluation index system is the core tool supporting the judgment of schemes, its construction method and applicable ability directly affect the maintenance efficiency and resource allocation level. Based on the construction logic of the index model, the scoring mechanism of grade division, and the conditions of road grade adaptation, the characteristics of the evaluation index systems in typical countries in China and abroad were compared and sorted out. The internal causes affecting …
