Condition Monitoring Of Induction Motor Using Motor Current Signature Analysis, Francis Ikechukwu Obianke, Joseph Okhaifoh, Benjamin Akinloye
Condition Monitoring Of Induction Motor Using Motor Current Signature Analysis, Francis Ikechukwu Obianke, Joseph Okhaifoh, Benjamin Akinloye
Al-Bahir
Induction machines serve as the cornerstone and driving force of modern manufacturing and production systems. This research aims to monitor and analyse the operating performance of induction motors using motor current signature analysis (MCSA). MCSA is employed to process the current signal of a motor into a frequency spectrum, known as the current signature by applying the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm. The underlying principle is that vibration generated in a motor is closely related to the changes of the magnetic field density, and the induced voltage varies with the stator current.

Type I ribosome-inactivating proteins, such as gelonin, are enzymatically potent toxins but are effectively non-toxic under physiological conditions because they are unable to cross the plasma membrane[1]. Pulsed electric fields (PEF) overcome this delivery barrier by transiently permeabilizing the plasma membrane, allowing direct cytosolic entry. This enhances gelonin cytotoxicity by several thousand-fold, highlighting gelonin’s potential as an electrochemotherapy candidate[2]. Here, we present a recombinant gelonin (rGel) expression platform in E. coli with HPLC-based purification that enables reproducible protein production and structure-guided engineering.
The mature gelonin sequence (residues 47–297) was cloned into pET-32a(+) with an N-terminally fused Trx-6×His tag and TEV …

Baltic Journal of Health and Physical Activity
This study aimed to investigate the neuromechanical pathways linking eccentric force production to explosive concentric output during countermovement jumps (CMJ) in national-level junior badminton athletes undergoing a specialized eccentric training program. Objective: 36 male athletes (age 16.5 ± 1.2 years) were quasi-randomly assigned to an experimental group (EG; n=18), which completed a 6-week supervised eccentric overload training in-volving flywheel squats and depth jumps thrice weekly, or a control group (CG; n=18), which maintained their habitual in-season training without additional interventions. Methods: Pre- and post-intervention assessments included CMJ performance measured on a force platform, with detailed analysis of kinetic and temporal …
The Tribal Energy Act: A Necessary Step Toward The Electrification Of The Navajo Nation, Carington Lowe, Michael Hamersky
The Tribal Energy Act: A Necessary Step Toward The Electrification Of The Navajo Nation, Carington Lowe, Michael Hamersky
Pepperdine Law Review
The Navajo Nation stands as a sovereign nation, yet many families still lack access to electricity because of enduring historical, structural, and regulatory barriers. This Article identifies the legal and technical barriers that have hindered meaningful progress and argues that supplementing the utility grid with distributed energy resources, such as biodigesters, offers a viable path toward electrification, particularly for remote and rural communities within the Navajo Nation. Biodigesters convert organic waste generated through community practices, such as sheep raising, into biogas through an anaerobic process. This form of energy reflects circular economy principles while also aligning with Diné cultural practices …

Application Of The Multi-Theory Model To Determine Predictors Of Initiating And Sustaining Stress Management Behaviors In Undergraduate College Students, Bishoy T. Samuel, Joshua Mann, Michael Welsch, Manoj Sharma, Vinayak K. Nahar
Journal of Public Health in the Deep South
Background: Undergraduate college students face stress and concomitant mental health issues that can be mitigated by proper stress management behavior.
Purpose: This article examines the multi-theory model (MTM) of health behavior as a predictor of change in the primary outcomes of initiation and sustenance of relaxation-seeking behavior in undergraduate college students for the purposes of stress mitigation. The two main research hypotheses tested were that (a) participatory dialogue, behavioral confidence, and change in physical environment have statistically significant effects on initiation of behavioral change, and (b) emotional transformation, practice for change, and change in social environment have statistically significant effects …

Telemedicine Kiosks: Can Technology Solve Rural Mississippi's Healthcare Crisis?, Babu George, Martha Ravola
Journal of Public Health in the Deep South
Background: Mississippi’s rural counties face hospital gaps, clinician shortages, and limited broadband/device access that collectively delay care and constrain telehealth uptake.
Purpose: This paper assesses whether telemedicine kiosks can improve rural healthcare access in Mississippi while also supporting viable local entrepreneurship and community development.
Methods: A conceptual, policy-and-market analysis integrated narrative literature synthesis, secondary data and policy review, and 5-year financial modeling under two cost-allocation scenarios: an Operator Model (subscription fees covered by partners/grants) and a Network Model (subscription fees borne by the kiosk operator).
Results: Kiosks with embedded connectivity and diagnostic peripherals can deliver device-independent virtual care and directly …

Empowering Educators With Generative Ai In Higher Education: Design Patterns For Visible Learning, Jeanne Charles
Empowering Educators With Generative Ai In Higher Education: Design Patterns For Visible Learning, Jeanne Charles
Essays in Education
A student submits a paper that reads smooth and confident. With generative AI, that polish no longer proves learning. Higher education now needs course designs that keep student thinking visible and assessable.
This literature review synthesizes 39 empirical studies (2024 through early 2026) on generative AI in higher education. It treats 22 learner-facing classroom studies as design cases and codes task type, permitted AI use, instructor guardrails, and measured outcomes. It uses the remaining studies to situate adoption, policy, and academic integrity risks.
Across the evidence, outcomes follow the design more than the tool. AI supports learning when it expands …

Heliophysics Enhanced Learning For Intelligent Orbits (Helio), Kylie Nager, Akash Joseph, James Kirk, Payton Miller
Heliophysics Enhanced Learning For Intelligent Orbits (Helio), Kylie Nager, Akash Joseph, James Kirk, Payton Miller
Student Research Symposium (SRS)
Satellite constellations in near-Earth orbit are increasingly vulnerable to solar flares, coronal mass ejections, and high-speed solar wind streams that disrupt communications, power systems, and orbital stability. Current mission architectures rely on delayed ground intervention and do not leverage predictive solar data for autonomous response. The HELIO project addresses this gap by developing an AI-driven resilience layer that converts real-time heliophysics forecasts into coordinated operational decisions for CubeSat swarms. HELIO integrates pretrained solar forecasting models such as NASA and IBM’s SURYA foundation model to predict active-region evolution, flare probability, and solar-wind velocity. A lightweight decision-intelligence framework interprets these forecasts and …
