A Comprehensive Review Of Software Requirements Dependencies Analysis Techniques, Nahla Mohamed, Sherif Mazen, Waleed Helmy Jul 2025

A Comprehensive Review Of Software Requirements Dependencies Analysis Techniques, Nahla Mohamed, Sherif Mazen, Waleed Helmy

Iraqi Journal for Computer Science and Mathematics

The software Requirements Prioritization (RP) process is essential for producing a successful software project. Requirements are interdependent in software projects, so handling their dependency during the RP process is mandatory. Many researchers have shown that requirements dependency is challenging for large-scale systems. Extracting requirements dependency is difficult since requirements are documented in natural language. Improper handling of dependencies among requirements while prioritization can cause inaccurate prioritization results and deadlocks, which cause project delays, rework, and redesign. Many techniques have been introduced to automate the dependency analysis process among software requirements, including artificial intelligence (AI) and other logic-based methods such as …

Diabetes mellitus (DM) affects around 537 million people globally, with 77 million cases in India. Type 2 DM is primarily linked to poor dietary habits and sedentary lifestyles, leading to either insulin resistance or impaired insulin secretion. In Ayurveda this condition is referred to as Apathyanimmataja Prameha. To promote healthier food choices, the Indian government declared 2023 as the International Year of Millets, emphasizing their significant health benefits. Historically, millets, known as "Shri Anna," were among the first domesticated crops in India and were a staple food across Asia. However, with the Green Revolution prioritizing the mass production of rice …

Nowadays, many novel approaches are being tested and practiced in search of the ideal treatment for anal fistula but the best technique is not known. Although comparative clinical trials are being done globally for anal fistula but drawback and limitations are associated with every intervention so we are not able to reach the final conclusion that which approach is best for the management of this perplexing disease and the available evidence suffers from lack of high-quality data with very few large RCTs. Ayurveda science also actively contributes Kshara Sutra application for anal fistula management in Sushruta Samhita and many studies …

A Lockean Theory Of Coastal Climate Adaptation, Lingxi Chenyang

Ocean and Coastal Law Journal

What rights do coastal residents have as the seas swallow their homes and livelihoods while the government fails to act? Many legal and policy reforms have been proposed to help people better respond to climate-induced coastal erosion. Little has been said about the underlying theories of climate governance. This Symposium Article identifies three theories of climate adaptation in the context of disappearing coastlines: scientific realism; economic realism; and liberal rights. According to scientific realism and economic realism, the key obstacle to effective climate adaptation is an uninformed government facing a scientifically and economically complex climate future. To the extent that …

Rhyme And Its Impact On Poetic Sentence Structure: Al-Mutanabbi's Poetry As A Model, Nedal Al-Qatameen

Jordan Journal of Applied Science-Humanities Series

The effect of rhyme extends beyond the boundaries of the vocal musical system; it is closely connected to the morphological, grammatical, and stylistic systems, and even to the poet's vocabulary and word choices. This research aims to explore the influence of rhyme within the sentence, emphasizing its well-known role in verse. It seeks to demonstrate that Al-Mutanabbi’s rhymes were not superficial or solely aimed at external rhythm generated by sound. Instead, it addresses the question: Did the poet rely on a single pattern across all absolute and restricted rhymes? What is the compatibility of the phonetic, morphological, and grammatical units …

Exploring The Legacy Of Brillat-Savarin In The Written Works Of Auguste Escoffier, Mathieu Belledent Jul 2025

Exploring The Legacy Of Brillat-Savarin In The Written Works Of Auguste Escoffier, Mathieu Belledent

Journal of Franco-Irish Studies

In the early nineteenth century, Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin and Alexandre-Balthazar-Laurent Grimod de La Reynière laid the foundations of modern food writing. Subsequently, the publication of Brillat-Savarin’s La Physiologie Du Goût in 1825 changed the landscape of food writing. His approach was at the root of a marriage between the art of prose and the art of cooking; he associated art with gastronomy. Although he only wrote a single book, he achieved great success, which contributed to the modernisation of a gastronomic society and to the development of French cuisine. Brillat-Savarin was admired by the great culinary artist Marie-Antoine Carême, who, …

The Impact Of Attendance-Based Parent Workshops On Student Absenteeism In The Primary Grades, Kelli Ruby Jul 2025

The Impact Of Attendance-Based Parent Workshops On Student Absenteeism In The Primary Grades, Kelli Ruby

Doctor of Education (EdD)

Absenteeism is on the rise in schools, significantly impacting young students. Despite ongoing interventions, chronic absenteeism continues to grow in primary grades, creating potential deficits in learning, health, and life outcomes. Although chronic absenteeism has been extensively researched, lack of clarity exists about the most effective methods to improve student attendance.

Research has indicated connecting families with schools can positively intervene in absenteeism. The purpose of this study was to determine how parents’ participation in attendance-based workshops affects their perceptions of the value of attendance in primary grades. Due to the complexity of absenteeism, the study employed Bronfenbrenner’s (2001) bioecological …

Kingsborough Community College Education Program Cite Playbook, Laura Scheiber, Joanna Maulbeck, Denise Farrelly

Publications and Research

As equity is a core value of our program, we believe that it is important to not just offer exposure to computing and digital literacy activities to preservice teachers, but that our teacher education program intentionally incorporates design principles that support student agency, foster co-learning, highlight creativity and joy, understand how computing can be used for social action, and critically assess tech tools and cultures(CUNY Computing-Integrated Teacher Education, 2025). In sum, we want to make sure technology is integrated with thoughtful scaffolding that fosters more critical thinking and digital citizenship. As List et. al (2020) point out, “If pre-service teachers …

The Reinterpretation Of The Round Shaker Barn: How Patriarchal Values Changed The Doctrine, History, And Architecture Of A Religion, Caroline Johnson Jul 2025

The Reinterpretation Of The Round Shaker Barn: How Patriarchal Values Changed The Doctrine, History, And Architecture Of A Religion, Caroline Johnson

AWE (A Woman’s Experience)

The Shaker Round Barn in Hancock Massachusetts has long been studied for its historical significance and insight into the life and beliefs of the nearly extinct religion. Within the discipline of art history, it is one of the only Shaker buildings discussed in entry-level architecture classes, portrayed to be the physical personification of the Shaker faith. The current narrative of the Shakers has simplified not only this particular structure but the entire religion, down to a few distinguishing characteristics: their name, which came from their exuberant worshiping practices; their founder, Mother Ann Lee, being the female reincarnate of Jesus Christ; …

Sui Sin Far Vs. Dehumanization, Hannah Swenson

AWE (A Woman’s Experience)

In 1882, Chinese immigrants were deemed by Congress to be a corrupting influence in America; thus the Chinese Exclusion Act was passed, barring Chinese laborer immigration and the naturalization of Chinese immigrants. Their foreign cultural customs made them “unassimilable,” and their strong work ethic and acceptance of extremely low wages “rendered them an economic threat and thus targets of racial violence”. In 1889, the United States Supreme Court upheld the act, stating that Chinese immigrants were “‘a different race . . . dangerous to [America’s] peace and security’”. Subsequent laws further marginalized Chinese residents, depriving them of legal rights and …

Let’S Teach More Accurate And Inclusive History! The Case Of Islamic Contributions To Mathematics And Science, Noah (Nuh) Aydin Jul 2025

Let’S Teach More Accurate And Inclusive History! The Case Of Islamic Contributions To Mathematics And Science, Noah (Nuh) Aydin

Faculty Publications

Schools commonly teach a history of mathematics and science that is Eurocentric. This selective version of the history of science, called Classical Narrative by some, is rooted in colonial times and mindset, and has reinforced certain negative opinions about other cultures. It ignores or downplays contributions to mathematics and sciences from non-western civilizations, and falsely attributes many scientific discoveries to European scholars. Medieval Islamic Civilization, which had strong connections to Renaissance Europe, serves as a clear example of how this narrative is distorted. Based on research on primary sources since the middle of the 20th century, we now know that …
