Development Of Interactive Learning Media Based On Illustrated Word Cards To Improve Students' Reading Skills, Laila Nadya, Riris Nurkholida Rambe

Jurnal Pendidikan: Teori, Penelitian, dan Pengembangan

To improve the reading skills of first-grade elementary school students in Indonesian, particularly in relation to reading, this project aims to create picture card-based learning materials. The five steps of the ADDIE development model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, were used in the research and development (R&D) process. Pretests and posttests, expert validation, questionnaires, interviews, and observations were some of the methods used to collect data. Experts in content, media, and language verified the media that had been created, and feedback from teachers and students assessed its usefulness. With a feasibility rating of 94% from media experts, 91% …

The Emphasis On Grouping Students To Explore Length And Area Of Conservation Tasks Skills In Grade 5 Elementary School, Kodirun Kodirun, Salam Salam, Misu Misu

Jurnal Pendidikan: Teori, Penelitian, dan Pengembangan

This study investigates how a geometric plane with a similar area can have different circumferences, and how a geometric plane with the same area can have different areas. Classroom learning is TPS, with an emphasis on maximizing group work. Two students of 107 of 5th elementary school graders were selected by convenience sampling to be interviewed. The findings show that group discussions help students develop and improve their individual mathematical abilities; students can determine geometric planes with similar areas but different circumferences and geometric planes with different areas but similar circumferences; and 5th graders students can conserve length or area …

Teaching English For Net Generation Through Virtual Reality Assisted Language Learning In Efl Classroom, Sakhi Herwiana, Ahmad Munir

Jurnal Pendidikan: Teori, Penelitian, dan Pengembangan

This paper aims to give insight and recommend teachers to implement Virtual Reality in language learning, especially in EFL classrooms such as in Indonesia. In the digital era, the use of technology by young people cannot be separated from daily life. Therefore, teachers can use and create the course materials by implementing virtual reality in building language acquisition instead of using traditional methods and textbooks. Using interesting learning sources can enhance students’ motivation to learn. The use of Virtual Reality will give new experiences and environments for the students to learn a new language especially English.

Error Analysis Of Learner In Solving Problem In Mathematics Course Based On Newman Error Analysis (Nea), Aprilita Ekasari, Don Jaya Putra

Jurnal Pendidikan: Teori, Penelitian, dan Pengembangan

The purpose of this research is to identify learner errors in problem-solving within the mathematics course, particularly in the subtopic of integration, based on Newman's Error Analysis (NEA). The subjects of this research were 14 first-year learners from the Physics Education Department at Musamus University, Merauke. The research method employed in this study is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The instruments used in this research were tests and interviews. The test questions were used to measure the errors made by learners according to Newman's framework. Furthermore, four subjects were selected as participants for interviews to analyze the difficulties encountered while …

The Effect Of Open-Ended Worksheets In Interactive Demonstration Learning On Students’ Conceptual Understanding Of Harmonic Motion And Scientific Reasoning, Abdur Rohman Wahid Arrosyid, Sentot Kusairi, Hari Wisodo

Jurnal Pendidikan: Teori, Penelitian, dan Pengembangan

This research explores the influence of using open-ended worksheets in interactive demonstration learning on students' understanding of harmonic motion and scientific reasoning. It is a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design. Data were obtained from conceptual understanding and scientific reasoning tests and analyzed using parametric and non-parametric tests. The results show that open-ended worksheets enhance students' concept comprehension and scientific reasoning. There was a significant difference in conceptual understanding between the two classes. However, there was no difference in scientific reasoning. These findings hold valuable implications for improving learning with open-ended worksheets and interactive demonstration models.

In this case the researcher uses the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the mathematical problem solving abilities of class The population in this study were all students in class The average pretest result …

Teachers’ Perception And Practices Of Learner-Centered Methods In English Language Teaching, Gashaw Shewangizaw Sep 2025

Teachers’ Perception And Practices Of Learner-Centered Methods In English Language Teaching, Gashaw Shewangizaw

Jurnal Pendidikan: Teori, Penelitian, dan Pengembangan

This study explored Ethiopian Technical and Vocational Training Institute English teachers' perceptions and practices of student-centered learning. The interviews and observations results revealed positive teacher attitudes towards student-centered approaches, but classroom practices often remained teacher-centered and reliant on textbooks, disregarding student interests. Challenges included a lack of practical implementation skills, conflicting summative assessments, and the need for continuous formative feedback. Bridging the conceptual-practical divide requires practice-integrated professional development and flexible policies to support autonomy and experience- driven curricula. These findings contribute to understanding contextual realities and refining alignment with evolving workforce demands through ongoing improvement and localized responsiveness.

Learning media is a tool that can be used to convey or transmit messages from the sender to the receiver. Concrete learning media, such as math manipulatives, are tools that allow students to learn concretely through the use of physical objects that they can hold, see, and utilize in the learning process so that students are not easily bored during the learning process. The use of concrete learning media can provide motivation to students during the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using magic sticks in improving the understanding of counting operations in …

Staff Education On Ethical Considerations For The Implementation Of The Mental Health Triage Scale, Patrick Dioro Sep 2025

Staff Education On Ethical Considerations For The Implementation Of The Mental Health Triage Scale, Patrick Dioro

Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies

In this Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) project, I employed the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) model to develop and deliver an educational intervention for emergency department (ED) nurses, with a specific focus on the Mental Health Triage Scale (MHTS). The practice-focused question was: In an emergency room at a mental health facility, how does staff education on the MHTS impact knowledge levels, as measured through pre- and post-education assessments? A needs assessment identified existing knowledge gaps and inconsistencies in triage practices among ED nurses. To address the problem, I developed a 4-week hybrid training program that combined …
