Staff Education To Improve Tirzepatide Education And Lifestyle Counseling, Daisy Asemota

Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies

This Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) project was a practice-focused staff education initiative designed to improve clinical staff knowledge, confidence, and readiness to educate adult patients enrolled in a Tirzepatide weight-management program. Tirzepatide has demonstrated superior weight-loss outcomes compared to other glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists; however, inconsistent staff education practices related to medication administration, adverse-event management, and lifestyle counseling present a gap in practice. Variability in staff knowledge and teaching approaches may reduce confidence, contribute to inconsistent patient education, and limit the effectiveness of evidence-based care delivery. The purpose of this DNP project was to address this practice gap …

Educating Mental Health Staff On Standardized Intake Response And Appointment Scheduling Practices, Mercy Itesa

Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies

This evidence-based educational project focused on solving two problems at a private mental health clinic: Staff members used different methods to record patient intake information and schedule appointments. The methods staff used to interact with patients resulted in inaccurate documentation and longer response times. The project question was: Does educating staff on standardized intake procedures and appointment scheduling processes lead to better knowledge acquisition, as indicated by pre- and postsurvey results? The analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) instructional design framework and the Johns Hopkins Evidence-Based Practice Models (JHEBP) were used in this educational project. Discontinuities And Dysfunctions In Verbal Production, Imane Chahdi Feb 2026

Discontinuities And Dysfunctions In Verbal Production, Imane Chahdi

Faits de Langue et Société (FLS)

This article outlines the main stages of speech production and inventories the types of errors that can disrupt oral communication, drawing on psycholinguistic research, particularly Eric Keller. It emphasizes that speaking—although seemingly effortless and continuous—relies on complex operations: message conceptualization, lexical selection, semantic and syntactic encoding, phonological and morphological encoding, and articulation. The paper reviews common error types (stuttering, repetitions, pauses, slips of the tongue) and discusses their effects on message transmission. It also shows how such errors provide useful evidence for understanding the organization of the mental lexicon and the mechanisms underlying language processing.

Proverb Translation As Cultural Translation, Rahma Barbara Feb 2026

Proverb Translation As Cultural Translation, Rahma Barbara

Faits de Langue et Société (FLS)

This article analyzes the translation of Moroccan Arabic proverbs into French through the lens of cultural mediation. By postulating that « translating a proverb is translating a culture, » we explore the challenges posed by fixed units whose often metaphorical meaning is inseparable from specific sociocultural referents (rites, traditional trades, hagiographic figures). We demonstrate that the success of this operation requires moving beyond simple linguistic transcoding to adopt a semantic and pragmatic reinterpretation, integrating the context of enunciation and extralinguistic realities in order to preserve the identity of the source heritage while making it intelligible to the target reader
